The graphics are nothing just yet, weve got months until its released, the thing i've always loved treyarch for is that they always do something different with each COD games they make, i did love Blops1, my favourite cod i think, but this time they've taken a big risk setting it in the future, and i think it will pay off, in a way MW3 started showing signs of futuristic tech with the drones ect, one thing that is already and will grate on me is comments like "Great - Looks like a futurisitc terminator game!" which ive seen on youtube already, its only one trailer! haha

They have a full team working on Zombies now which will only mean more stupid, convoluted maps with pathetic characters following you about.

Zombies was best when it was you, weapons & Zombies. None of the stupid George characters just pissing you off & adding NOTHING to the experience.

I was hoping the rumours would turn out to be false and that it would pick up where Black Ops left off. While the story wasn't great I liked how it was based in the 60's. I hope the COD isn't turning another futuristic Halo, Crysis type franchise.

I don't really see them improving on graphic until the next gen. Although to be honest it's not something I care about. The music score to me added something to the game which BF2 had lacking even though it looked a lot better. *quickly runs from thread*

Such a disappointment. MW2 brought a major improvement in graphics, I can't see why they wouldn't use it.

They wont use it because they are not capable of getting the best from it. Look at MW3 sans Zampella, West and co the graphics and game play are a step back from MW2.

Brave move making a game in the future, although not unexpected as the reason Treyarch always did historical war games was because IW made the modern/future ones.

I don't hold out much hopes for this game, I thought WaW was poor compared to MW. I thought Blops was poor compared to MW2. MW3 is horrible. Keeping with that trend Blops 2 should be worse than MW3 and therefore terrible. Of course I will wait and see I would love to be surprised.

Blackops was the first COD game since Modern Warfare that i played constantly for months.

MW3 was the first COD game i took back after 2 weeks.

I'll get this on the merits of Blops but only if it looks interesting after a few more trailers and information.

I like the look of the game, it actually looks like campaign I might want to play as opposed to jumping straight to the multiplayer and the addition of the optional missions is good. I am amused that we will be playing as THE SON OF MASON, the impression that I got of him from the last game was that he was seriously gone in the head and would only ever be able to get it up for Resnov. However on the whole I think Treyarch did a great job with Black Ops (both campaign and multiplayer) and I'm looking forward to see what this has to offer. Though it makes me laugh, I have just been looking at the IGN comments and they are up in arms now that the setting has been changed despite saying for yonks that the games had gotten stale. Haters gonna hate.

Wow I really did not expected black ops 2 to be in the future and I kinda thought it be a follow up to black ops where frank woods escapes and to get mason back to normal. seems they shock everyone with it being so far in the future. Looks good and will be first day buy for me can't wait for zombies

However, that said, I dont see there being too much military hardware currently is use being replaced by 2025 - I reckon it will be pretty much the same weapons, it is only 13 years away.

Maybe more advanced optics, but what else?

Its just going to be 'Slightly more Modern Warfare'.

Wont buy it on launch day, after MW3 those days are over. Might wait a couple of weeks before I decide but thanks to MW3, im pretty bored of 1st person shooters.


Time Treyarch/IW/Sledghammer revolutionised COD, I just dont see how that can be done.

We shall see...

We hated most of the BlOps zombie maps. Not a patch on the WaW ones. The new maps were just a mess of confusion and complication. The only one we really had any time for was Call of the Dead.

Hopefully they'll return to the simplicity of the original maps for the new game, or at least for some of the new ones.

Well some details seem to say there is a sniper rifle that targets and shoots through walls.

People complaining that this is a bad thing?!? I can think of nothing better to start combating campers!

Actually it is complete what you saw. Some polish will be added, but for the most part that is complete. However we may see (bizarrely!) multiplayer maps that look better than single player.

Read an article earlier and Treyarch hired an entire new team whose task was to get the most out of the engine graphically and they spent four months on two maps making them look great.

CVG also said that when they got shown those two maps that side-by-side it embarrassed Black Ops 1.

Actually this is incorrect. They totally remodeled a load of guns, if you cannot see that there is an improvement over MW2 then you're barmy. It isn't a major jump, but it is there. Some maps do look poor though, and could almost pass as Black Ops maps, I think that may be down to Raven Software who helped out on MW3 having helped on Black Ops DLC.

A full team was working on it before...

They have 300 people working on Black Ops II. Treyarch employs 250 people. Gives you an idea really.

They will not trade off 60 FPS for prettiness. Shame really, I mean if it dips for a bit so be it - but then again in MW3 it dips on Black Box at the rear of the plane and it is annoying.

Seriously the font is so crap lol, I think it is the same font used in the non US and UK versions of MW3.

Bit unfair to cast judgement on that as that screenshot has been around a while, seems to be using MW3 weaponry too which is kinda odd and also maps generally don't get their polish until very late on going by some of the behind the scenes videos.
