Me and my friends all play on ps3. I have an xbox as well and have always fancied having it on their because I think xbox live is a much better platform for multiplayer gaming...sigh. As far as the new game looks from E3 the campaign looks samey although the split missions look like they might spice it up a bit. However as I mostly play multiplayer if they can take the good aspects from mw3, strike packages (maybe balance it a bit more, no support streak should be able to kill), pointstreaks>killstreaks and apply it to a similar online experience to black ops I'll be very happy.

Why do you think Xbox Live is a better multiplayer platform?

There was a rumour way back that they will use pointstreaks - which is probably the best thing IW has ever introduced. Given Treyarch was also kind to those supporting the team and big on multiplayer balance I can't see why they wouldn't keep it.

There is also a new rumour today that Create A Class has changed to a points system. You'll get 10 points to spend, so for example a primary weapon might be 2 points, a secondary 1 points, a perk might be 1 point and equipment 1 point.

So you might say OK I want 5 perks, 1 equipment and 2 primary weapons. Stuff like that.

That sounds good to me.

I think XBL is better as the whole layout and processes seems smoother. I.e. sending messages to people is easier less clunky etc. Player reviews are also a good idea, also party/cross party chat is a brilliant addition.

For me with the PS3, everything is just more clunky and complicated, dont complain too much seen as its free though!

^^While I agree on most of your points. The player review thing is pointless. The only people most likely to review are sore losers. My rep has dropped considerably since playing Black Ops multiplayer.

If you pre-order after July 1st with GAME you'll get Nuketown 2025 for free, which will be a re-imagining of the original Nuketown in a future setting.

Hopefully come July 1st we'll know if all retailers are offering this, but the leak came from GAME.

I hope so because I'm not pre-ordering with those mopes.

Well done Treyarch. IW take note. This is how you justify releasing classic maps, update them. Make them new again.

Play.com are offering the same deal as GAME. Pre order and get the Nuketown 2025 bonus map, it does not say that you have to pre-order before a certain date too.

I'm tempted, i do love Nuketown.

ALL preorders include the Nuketown 2025 map now, regardless of where you order from.

Even if you don't pre-order it's likely that the map will become either a day one DLC or very shortly afterwards.

Nuketown is a good map, but not my favourite BlOps map, so I'm hoping to see a revamped version of Firing Range as well.

That would be sweet. Only time i've ever had a (strictly non camping) 30-1 FFA was on that map.

just saw the trailer and i like alot. But it seems a bit slow....not that i am complaining.

Seems like they changed loads of things to make it look futuristic or whatever. I am impressed, i hope they dont intentionally ignore the ps3 version

Black Ops is a slower game. I prefer it that way, anyway.

Gone back to Black Ops a few times since MW3 came out.

The slower pace is massively noticeable. And is so much easier after the frantic pace of MW3. That is probably a mixture of the slower pace and maybe there not being as many good players on BLOPS anymore.

Biggest adjustment, is that it takes more bullets to put people down (Sh!tty hit detection?). Regularly would stop shooting my target, only for them to turn around and kill me!

I actually found the it is only the good players left on Black Ops.

Full of max levels with G11s.

I *think* MW3 allows you to run for longer, unless its just me. it feels like it anyway - I wondered if that was a trade off for not having unlimited run. If it is true that makes moving around a longer task in Black Ops.

As for damage, its not the hit detection, it has weaker damage. That was the major WTF issue I had with MW3. Dying in an instant, whereas in Black Ops you can take damage and then take cover if its there.

Weaker damage is a good thing as it reduces the effect of lag and lag over-compensation.

It looks interesting and I'll buy it for sure, but I'm done with the series if it ends up being laggy, unbalanced etc. I've already vowed not to touch another CoD game with Infinity Ward on the front because after the horrific mess known as MW3, I'd rather burn my money.

Black Ops, for the most part, is still a fun game to play online but the biggest issue is definitely the lag, at least for me. I even seem to be a second behind even on a four bar connection, which is completely puzzling to me. I don't have this problem with other games but always with BO and I don't think I can stand to play another game with others having an instant advantage over me all the time. It's not my connection either because I'm running off 50mb internet.

So the Bops 2 MP trailer is out. Looks like a nice shake up of things. But for me quite worrying seemed really quick, like MW3 and I hate the pacing of MW3 compared to Bops ...but of course this was just a snippet ...fingers crossed
