The VAT exemption comes to an end April 1st so its got to be the last day/days of barmy offer emails.
Almost gives enough space for those Sustrans app maps.

Use MEMORY20 for 20% off to give £11 or so.

VAT exemption? is that for all memory or a certain type? Considering getting some more RAM for the desktop - soonr rather than later?

The government is closing the VAT loophole for companies that operate in within the Channel Islands like Play & Amazon. This isn't just for memory, but for every product.

ah right o, thanks. I missed that one as journos didn't consider it necessary to ask if Cameron and Osborne ever used play.com.

Seems it came to an end this morning so was only for those with on late night cocoa.

Saturday is their last VAT exempt (<£18) day. So I imagine their major warehouse will be on-shore soon.
British companies like Tesco will obviously also close their tax dodging Jersey operation.

the best thing about them coming on sure will be that they will have to operate under EU law with 12 months warranties, sail of goods act and all that. hopefully.

And the worst that the prices increase...

EU Law is 24 months.

It seems that with mobile phones that Samsung, Acer and Sony(not sure if it only the decent models) amongst other companies abide by this for the UK.
