I'm quite new to owning an Ipod touch but as far as I know it's only ipod, ipad and iphone's that can use itunes.

The Phillips device does not appear to support AAC which Apple use. So even if you did get it talking to iTunes chances are it won't be able to play anything anyway.

The Sansa Zip does and has an old style advanced DAC so the sound exceeds most.
It is upgradeable so easy to add an extra 32GB to it too.
iTunes(AAC) plays on the ZIP fine. Older 'protected AAC' will not.

edit Alternate Firmware
The open source firmware project Rockbox has added initial support for the GoGear SA9200 series, and runs well on the HDD16x0 and HDD63x0 series
If the vibe is one of those put Rockbox to play iTunes.

Similarly you can buy a Clip + cheap and Rockbox it to do same. This is very similar to the Zip so has high quality sound too.

Can you explain how you copy and paste the music from itunes please. My daughter has a Sony NWZ-A845 and she would like some of the music I have on my ipod but I don't know how to do it. Thanks in advance.

The actual music files will be in a folder on your hard disk. Either in the Music (My Music) folder or a seperate 'iTunes' folder.
If you connect the player to the computer it should appear as a drive in My Computer.

That player will play AAC files, but not if they contain DRMs (copyright software). So it'll depend on how you downloaded the music, as to whether they will play.

But according to the info here, that player can connect through the iTunes program, so you should be able to sync that way?
