I use BT Vision for the bedroom and it has stored the Welsh channels at the top. I don't want S4C on channel 4, I don't live in Wales!

Looking at the menu system there doesn't seem to be a way to change this, which seems bizarre for a DTT system. Is it possible?

An old chestnut. You live between transmitters. People have posted about this many times here, and on the Freeview forum.

Basically you need to do a channel scan with your aerial lead unplugged until it reaches 50% then plug it in. If that still produces S4C on 4 then do the reverse, Scan with aerial plugged in, then unplug it when the scan reaches 50%.

That should solve it.

Oh and sorry you don't live in Wales obviously.

Sounds like there's no way of actually moving the presets then as there is on other Freeview receivers.

Your solution wouldn't really work for me as the Welsh transmitter is by far the strongest signal here and the English regions break up terribly. So I do want the Welsh channels, all I want to do is move channel 4 to 4 and not 8!

Ahh. I see. I have to leave this to other BTV users as I no longer have the service.

That tip worked for me, I live in Cardiff, where we have pretty much 50/50 coverage from Mendips and Wenvoe. From memory, control over logical/virtual channels wasn't possible when I did have the service. Perhaps there has been an update? Or maybe not...
