Hi im looking to purchase either the ipad 3 or the vita the problem is i dont know which,
ive not owned a ipad before, and neither a psp.
i do game alot on a ps3.
but i want my next item one of the two ive stated to be for when im travelling on a coach from manchester to london,

also want something i can sit in bed and use instead of having to turn on pc all the time to check something online.

Does anyone here have both and id appreciate the feedback

the only downside i find with the vita is the 2nd hand games cant unlock the trophies

I don't own a Vita but I suppose if you are looking for a device to browse the web, watch videos, TV, listen to music, edit and take photos and download a variety of apps then IPad is surely the better option. If you are mainly interested in the gaming aspect then go for the Vita

My 7"(4/3 aspect ratio) is primarily for this. (350 grams in weight)
It covers travel, quick use and at the moment even Netflix.

If a gamer the Vita is built for it..

I feel I'm a good judge as I've got an iPad2 and a PS Vita.

For me, the IPad is a necessity, whereas the Vita is more of a luxury. The only thing the Vita has over the IPad is obviously games, but these are slim pickings at the moment.

Much more software available, including games for the iPad. iPad games are cheap too and lots of free ones. Bigger screen probably easier on the eyes. Not sure about the battery life on the PS Vita but you get 10 hours on an iPad which should cover journeys easily. Vita wins on game pad/joystick though - not everyone gets on with a touch screen.
