Colton Dixon - Don't really like him from the start but it is undeniable that he is a rather talented kid.
Skylar Laine - Definitely deserve to be in the bottom 3 but i hope she stays.
HeeJun Han - Personally thought that it was a rather beautiful performance.
Hollie Cavanagh - Awful, never understood the hollie hype. What a joke that she is leading dialidol.
DeAndre Brackensick - The moment he opened his mouth, it was just painful and annoying.
Jessica Sanchez - Vocals were great and i really dig this arrangement. The dynamics were outstanding.
Phillip Phillips - Same old shit.
Joshua Ledet - Getting sick and tied of such performances. Meh...
Elise Testone - Favorite from the start but tonight was a little disappointing. The last note was executed brilliantly though. It was weird that they showed her singing only a note during the recap. She definitely has the best taste in music and is the only one that is stylistically creative.

Thanks

For me Elise was by far the best performance of the night

Elise and Hollie best of the night by quite some distance, followed by Phillip.

I'd have Heejun, Joshua and I'm not sure who else for the bottom three.

Too many ballads again (and not even good ones). Nobody sang badly but I don't know what the judges were doing with all the standing ovations.

Unsurprisingly my favourite three performances were from my favourite three contestants with the three upbeat songs.

Top of the pile:
Elise - great song brilliant executed. Unlike last week there were no mis-steps
Phillip and Skylar - did what they do well. Liked the songs, love their tones, enjoyed their performances

Also good:
Jessica - she's amazing but she's not picking songs that are grabbing me
Colton - I find him too earnest and I'm ambivalent to his voice but he's very good at what he does

Meh:
Joshua - Nilssons song is a guilty pleasure and his version just didn't work for me
Heejun - just ok
DeAndre - not my thing
Hollie - bored of the ballads. Once again patchy until she hits the power chords

The group performances were enjoyable enough but no one stood out. The only thing it showed was that Hollie can do up-tempo. It will be interesting to see who goes. Will the public agree with the judges with regards DeAndre and Heejun? Hope not.

Jessica was so much better than the rest she was like the professional guest act in a results show.

Joshua did well, apart from screwing up the end. I didn't like the odd sucked-cheek way he kept singing 'you' at the end of if living is without you. It's odd that so many singers can't get that bit right, even Celine Dion sings 'withou choo'. He pronounced it right, but it sounded odd the way he kept doing it.

I wasn't blown away by Elise, she's done better. Good, but way too vocally stylised and fussy an approach to a rock song.

I'd rate them 1, 2 and 3. The rest were all a bit iffy so-so for me, even Deandre, who I usually like.
