Good Mother?

One thing that really bugged me in last night's episode,was Jane defending herself in the boardroom.
She said that she was more upset about the task, than she was about her son crying on the phone to her!
Two things about that;
1) Don't bring your kids/family into the process as a bargaining tool! Smacks of desperation and not nice to see.
2) Don't know how old her son is. Might be 18 for all I know. But she's more worried about flogging an aquatic riot shield, than her son's well-being...

Turned me right off her ... even though she does look like that Catherine Tate character who married a prisoner ... as mentioned on other threads...

she shouldnt have mentioned her kid but it is something of a quantum leap to deduce she must be a bad mother.

Fair point. I wasn't suggesting she was a bad mother as such, but her ethics were a bit wonky to mention her son in that context.
Imagine playing back that episode to him when he's older *shudder*...
