Recharging your iPad in the USA?
Franglais
30-03-2012
If I'm in the USA would I need to buy a new charger over there to recharge my iPad? Reason I ask is not only are their plugs different but their electric is also different - I think it's 120 volts compared to 240 volts in the UK?

Can such a thing be bought in the UK prior to going over there? If so would save the hassle of finding the Apple store over there.

Thanks
Roush

You only need a plug adapter. The genuine Apple chargers can accept input voltages from 100 - 240V

Check on the adaptor, as mentioned above it will say 100-240v

If you're in the market for TV out cables, get some in the US and you get a free charger plug in the box. A lot easier having US plugs for stuff. Watching some guy at Atlanta airport trying to balance his adaptor plug was hilarious as it kept on falling out of the wall.
