Hey guys now that MDNA has been out for a few days and I have listened to it several times, I started to think about Madonna's music plans for the future after the second leg of the tour finishes in 2013. I am hoping that shortly after the tour finishes next year, she gets back into the recording studio for her 13th studio album, and for her next album I hope she does something really fresh with no featuring artists or trying to appeal to a younger crowd, I would really love Madonna to do a full on Trance album next, teaming up with producers like Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, Avicii and maybe some underground less known producers, a bit like how Stuart Price wasn't that well known. In my opinion the only trance-like song she has done so far has been "Get Together" and I would love it if she went for the full on Trance genre, I think Pop/Dance R&B and Urban is a bit too main stream and generic these days, so it would be cool to see her revive the trance genre and bring it to the forefront. I could imagine the album being epic from begining to end with each track fading into the next like she did with Confessions On A Dance Floor. What do you guys think? What theme and genre would you like Madonna to do for her next album?

Really MDNA is her 13th album. I'm Breathless is always overlooked.

I have a feeling William Orbit will do the entire next record. Have a feeling its all ready set up that way.

It depends if she wants to do anything else with movies or another project and she has a young family so may want to spend more time with them so it's very hard to predict when it will be out but I'm all for her staying with Orbit and my dream would be for her to team up with Pat Leonard again

My dream album would be another in the theme of I'm Breathless - jazzy, retro, soulful.

And yes, I do count it as a bonefide studio album.

I'd like something in the vein of "Bedtime Story", "I Want You" and the "Ray of Light" album. Something more melodic, a little darker, spacey, deep beats. I'd like her to make a Madonna album, not a Madonna album with awful guest rappers and singers.

We will see, i love that she introduced Dub/Techno into MDNA and mixed it up a lot on the album.

I love how she has so many genres spanned across her reign really. Lets see where MDNA campaign takes us.

But i do love the idea now of her really adapting more Trip Hop elements...Massive Attack i would love to collaborate with her...Aviccii would be amazing now that "THAT" moment has been made infamous in itself lol "has anyone seen molly?" Deadmau5 would actually be a neat twist of events

I want massive Trip Hop/Trance elements maybe....but as always expect the unexpected....but whatever it is i will like it anyway But first things first MDNA MDNA MDNA!

Also would love her to do her own Body Talk Trilogy style albums....that way we can have three albums in 12 months to make one supermassive album 10 songs on each...OOH YEAH

I would not want Madonna to do a pure trance album. You said you don't want her to appeal to a younger audience by doesn't trance appeal to younger people that go to clubs?
I love that she takes dance and electronic music but writes pop songs out of it. I think a pure trance direction like the producers you mentioned would be a huge turn off to fans like me who love the pop side of Madonna. All of those trance mixes sound the same to me. I don't like the songs fading into one another because I listen to my music on random shuffle and not from beginning to end of an album so that messes things up for me.
I think the criticism of her using guests is overdone. The rapping on MDNA is very brief and hardly a big part of the album. Plus, I think she likes collaborating with people and feeding off of other people's energy.
I actually would like her to try something a little less electronic with more guitars just for something different, maybe taking a cue from a song like Beautiful Killer on MDNA.
William Orbit is great, but I don't see her working with him again right away. I think she should try someone new.

She absolutely has to stick to pop and not wander off into experimenting with different genres. Her hardcore fans are the ones now who are buying her albums and not so much the casuals so she shouldn't alienate her die hards

I do like trip hop, much more than the trance dj's. I like trip hop bands like Morcheeba and the Sneaker Pimps. But I think she has done that sort of influence already on Ray of Light so that might be a retread.

Madonna and Patrick Leonard to reunite would be eargasm

What i do love though is that when she incorporates Dance elements they do have melodies, they do have guitars/keytars...etc. Drum beats, violins, percussion as well as synthesisers, keyboards, snare drums etc. That iswhat i love on Erotica and Confessions...they are predominantly "Dance Concept Albums" BUT she doesnt and didnt necessarily utilise the same beats across an entire record for either really, that is what i love about them personally.

I dont think it is about appeal...that should come anyway for Madonna and it does...people just dismiss it as "trying to harness the youth market" but at the end of the day it is their choice if they wanna listen or not really...personally i love that she makes the music she wants to do.

And whatever way it will be commercially viable But i dont want Madonna to ignore her Dance roots as well as her Pop legacy in forseeable future records.

And i dont want any ROL 2.0, Erotica 2.0, Music 2.0, Confessions 2.0 nonsense....i love that MDNA pretty much is its own record with the odd references/allusions across her career but it is its own album...i love that with Madonna really.

She can take different genres but as long as she incorporates them into pop songs. I like songs with a verse, a chorus and a bridge and great melodies. Within pop, there's a lot of room to experiment with different genres be it electronic, rock or R&B. What I don't like is when you lose that structure and it's one long remix type of thing that loses melody.

It depends what they do with it really...where she heads with this...on Ray Of Light it was more Electronica with Trip hop elements there...heck Falling Free on MDNA has Trip Hop elements in the Melancholy of the song.

I reckon she should still definitely experiment and fuse elements together in future album releases whatever she personally decides.

But for MDNA she is hitting it on point i reckon I mean it is fantastic "Pop" within the Techno elements and Electronic etc. If she does experiment i genuinely feel that she will require a different way of promoting than what she is doing now if she wants to push the new sides out there really.

I mean MDNA sells itself because of her name alone, the fact her die hards have waited 4 years for it, and she has been all over the media on minimal effort required really. And the album is outselling the rest of the top 5 but with her enxt album should she release it in a couple years time...i definitely feel we will be in need of some sort of promo tour really

Definately agree and that's probably why I love GGW and Beautiful Killer do much. They are simple pop songs but very catchy and well done

I was thinking. Confessions was going to be a Rock album but Stuart Price started messing around with Samples which made that whole album be born.

What if we finally get the rock album? be a good way of hitting back at the ageists!

I've always dreamed of her doing a rock album. If she does something outside of the dance genre, I think it should be something ballsy, strong and in your face like a rock album. I definitely don't think she should do the soft acoustic album all the critics seem to want. And we know she loves to play her guitar, so it could happen!

Its sad to think we might not get a new album until 2014!

Wish she would release something on a year and a half rota that way we dont have to wait as long.

I geniunely love how Confessions On A Dance Floor was born out of her and Stu messing around though..she even said in interviews that they were the "odd couple" can only imagine

I love that COADF had guitar moments too though.

But Madonna to really go all out and experiment with Rock...and push Rock into Pop....but not the "Pop Rock" niche of P!nk, Katy Perry etc...but real ballsy stuff

Can really become something!

I know i hate the thought of it really...i mean the MDNA promo campaign is so small....but the tour should tide us over....imagine the headlines too....the Live To Tell performance was massive in the media can only imagine what they will make of her Violent/Revolver/mafia/Orgy style

But whatever happens itll be worth it

I agree! If she does rock, she should do it for real, maybe incorporating some of the grunge/alternative/indie sounds of the 1990's or punk of the 70's and early 80's. She should definitely not do the kind of pop/rock Pink, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson do (even though I love their music). That has become such a cliche. Just like she takes real ballsy dance/club sounds and makes them pop on MDNA.

She should definitely tap into that...i mean she loves loads of Rock bands....Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd i think were influences of hers werent they? And White Stripes were her fave band of 2006 when she was asked.

Yeah i mean ilove that on MDNA...that was REAL Dub she had in there...not the Rihanna and Britney "Pop Dub" REAL stuff that would make Skrillex blush you know.

I really want her to incorporate heavy Rock sounds...make Rock/Dance work maybe too...it would be so different. and a striking reinvention by then too. With MDNA i love that it very much is "neutral" as a reinvention.

he co-wrote some of her best songs, without a doubt and another collaboration is long overdue. stuart price is another producer that i would love her to work with again.

I want a classic pure pop Madonna album next time.

Pat Leonard/Steve Bray and William Orbit would be excellent.

She could do 'old school' Madonna, one for us oldies!

Or else a full on Mark Ronson jazz fest!

I guess some fans would love that, but I can't see her doing that. She always goes forwards, never backwards. There are actually some old school Madonna tracks on MDNA like Superstar. If you're a Madonna fan, I think you have to accept she's always changing and growing. She's not going to try to recapture her older sound like a lot of artists.

I'm not too big on Mark Ronson. I find him very overrated and overhyped. But actually he hasn't done jazz for awhile. His last album was pop and hip hop. He kind of works with the sound an artist wants to do, not one sound.
