Can someone remind me what happened with these two? I remember them leaving just as Denise ''came back to life'' as it were and it never made any sense to me that they would leave after finding out their mother was still alive.



Did I miss something? and do we ever hear if they have been in touch?? all so bizzare.

Chelsea went to live with Libby's Nan in Spain for no particular reason.

Libby is at uni and never visits or contacts her mum for no apparent reason.

also i agree why would you leave after finding out your mother you thought was dead is actually alive and she has just gone been kidnapped. just lazy writing from the EE writers

I was just thinking about them today thats why I asked. It all seemed so rushed. Did they rewrite the storyline or something? thats so bad in hindsight.

They cut the Lucas storyline short for some ridiculous reason, thinking the viewers would be happy if the murdering psychopath was gone sooner. They didn't really think it all through though, and by damaging the storyline they pretty much landed themselves right in it - the viewers weren't happy.

I therefore think Libby and Chelsea would've been around a while longer, if only the storyline had gone ahead as planned, or their exit would've been far different.

I never knew the storyline was cut short but guessed that must have been the case. What a shame. I quite enjoyed Lucas as well. Much better than that Asif fella Zanab was married to before Masood.

IMO there was nowhere to go with Chelsea as the actress was incapable of delivering her lines without making them sound like a question. Question Intanation makes acting a straight scene impossible, the only reason Lauren is still in the show is that she has managed to dial that down.

Squigall Libby ....she couldnt really act, she was stuck with Darren who even used to write his lines on his hands to get through a scene. I cant be the only one who noticed that.

denise seems to have forgotten them, i cant remember the last time she mentioned them
i actually didnt mind these two, if only owen was alive i think their could of been a potential for another SL

The Lucas murdering s/line was cut short due to the Bradford prostitute (s?) being killed at the same sort of time that this s/line was being beamed out around about two years ago and the BBC felt that some viewers might find that insensitive, being that Lucas murdered one to kid us into thinking it was Denise of course. That's why it was all hastily rewritten and ended up as something of a pig's ear s/line as it panned out. It seems Kirkwood's had little-no luck with the timing of some of these s/lines and the babyswap s/line was brought to a premature end due to ofcom. and a small minority of complainants I think!

As for Libby and Chelsea,they were pretty deadwood-esque characters IMO and I wasn't sorry to see either of them depart at the same time in 2010. It is crap continuinty though when you never hear Denise mention about either of them now or what they're up to......whereas she freely mentions her kidnapping, murdering husband to others still! Also thank god that poster on here who was bigging up a return for Adam Best (wheelchair) not so long ago has not re-posted such a grim notion!
