Once again Simon Cowell throws his toys out of the pram when the public dares to disagree with him on who should win. The man's a disgrace and the worst kind of egotist.

Absolutely.

Obviously Ronan is at school so can't really do much in terms of music.

A case in point is how much the focus is on X-Factor runner-up Olly Murs! He is an average singer at best.

I agree with you Lulu The public voted for Jai to win.

He's one of the most boring talent show winners ever. I'm not remotely surprised he got dropped. I still can't believe he won to begin with!!!

Why is that? He didn't need to sign him in the first place.

He earned enough money to buy his house outright. Surely, he has to be grateful for that. Expecting any more would be ridiculous. His style isn't exactly what's in the charts and for what he does, there's much better out there.

Surely he could get signed up for some West End Shows?
Michael Ball can't do them all!

Simon Cowell mention him tonight on BGMT. He felt obliged to remind us he was last year's winner. Apparently Jai has been saying Cowell is "Anti Scottish" and he redressed that.

Simon's simply anti-anything that doesn't equal immediate cash.

Here's the story apparently. I hadn't seen it before. Jai's grapes must taste sour.

strictly speaking Jai is not a bad loser, he's a bad winner.

Why?

The prize isn't 'you get signed', the prize is the money and the Royal Variety Performance. Simon is not obliged to sign anyone. In fact I'm surprised he signed Jai in the first place. That really was a 'WTF?' moment when he won.

Sorry - I couldn't disagree with you more. I thought his rendition of "Bring Me To Life" (in the semis) was phenomenal and the highlight of the series for me. He didn't need charisma for his voice to blow me away. It's a personal taste thing, but obviously the people who voted him the winner agreed with me.

I hope he lands a big role in a West End show,

I don't think Cowell is anti Scottish... but I think he may now fear the Scottish vote (Leon Jackson anyone?).

If only Cowell wasn't so darned anti-Scottish then Jai would be a superstar. He just has "#1 album" written all over him.

Jai's Twitter page:
Quote:
“Just like 2 say although I stand by the article I didn't say I didn't like @SimonCowell just that I didn't feel i got the support I needed.”

And after tonight's show:
Quote:
“Watching BGMT @SimonCowell has a right t his opinion but he should know what press R like, I personally still have alot of respect 4 him tho”

Exactly. Simon didnt have to sign him..I was surprised he did. He got his prize money and performance at royal variety so it seems fair enough-he got what he was promised as the prize.

As for being anti-Scottish I think thats really insulting - how much did he support Michelle McManas and Susan Boyle...im sure there have been others too. He was really complementary about Jai on the show, even if he wasnt his favourite. Sour Grape X10.

And if he doesnt want to be misquoted in the press...then perharps he should stop selling his story to them, or is the money more important?

Ever thought about the fact that Jai is last year's winner so the press would have called him and asked his opinion? He wouldn't have received a penny for it. It's a myth that everyone commenting in a paper gets paid for it. It's hardly a newsflash when papers decided to rephrase what people say. Papers misqoute people all the time. Sometimes just to fit the story other times to provoke. This story isn't really about Jai and Simon at all but about Scotland. Read between the lines

The last one was a couple of months ago and very much appeared that he had sold 'a story' rather than a couple of quotes over the phone. I accept that they twist comments but in that case he should maybe stop talking to them, as he had to straighten out the comments in the last article too. He said he stands by what was in the article...other than the fact he dislikes simon so it sounds like most of those comments do reflect what he thinks.
