Future phones.

Is that possible? Surely there is a physical limit as to how good a small battery can be?

Additionally, I see a lot more wireless charging based on inductive charging and also harvesting ambient RF energy in the air. Clearly all phones will be really powerful and will have ultra-high speeds. 3D hasn't taken off yet on phones but it may do. We will also see flexible phones with flexible displays. |

Not helpful if your phone is in your pocket, bag, glovebox in the car etc. ![]() I agree with batteries that last longer though. Better cameras on phones - yes I know it's a phone and not a digital camera, but still think this is something that could be improved upon. |

I think 'phone' as a device is largely going to disapear, replaced with voice/gesture activated wearable technology.
Something like this is very cool for example. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/23/te...y-android.html |

I reckon we may actually give up on batteries and use carbon nano-tubes to make high-capacity capacitors. These would last nowhere near as long as a battery or hold as much charge but capacitors can get fully charged up in seconds so you would just maybe see people charging 5 times a day but maybe 30 seconds a pop.
