Well I'm glad Sweden won. The rest of the results were a little surprising though IMO. Spain, Germany and Italy deserved to be up there in the first half, but we deserved much better than we got (we were shafted by being first to perform I guess).

Not been home long, and forgot to record it, but surely being on first is the cause, plus it wasn't a great song anyway..

I don't think there's a huge shock, bar Serbia doing so well?
Think you're probably right, though we deserved more than we got imho...

What about Albania though?! That was torture to your ears! I genuinely don't know why people would waste their money voting for that

I wasn't actually here to see it, but yeah, I never really enjoy the Albanian entries...

Haha you're very lucky you missed it! It was a performance that required ear plugs...

You say that, but I was at work receiving homophobic abuse from a drunk, so I'm not sure which would have been better.

That being said, it wasn't fun being called queer out loud just because I was stood a certain way.

Awwh, I'm really sorry to hear that Cakey *hugs*

I hope they were removed from the store immediately or some other action taken!

It was awful, and she only got votes from all the neighbours brown nosing (as usual) so I don't think it was an accurate opinion on the song.

Sorry to hear that. Pay no attention to the tool. You can hold your head up high while he is still a effin' a** hole. (if you pardon my French).

Police came and got him.

I think I'm more ashamed of the fact that I didn't just so so ****ing what if I am.

I kept quiet.

I was fighting between following procedure and standing up for myself, and the end I followed procedure.

I dunno why it upset me so much either.

It really was! Either neighbourly voting (and I totally loved the fact the announcers made it perfectly clear that "our 12 points go to our neighbours..." ) or most of Europe who did vote must've been deaf

I'm pleased to hear he was taken by the authorities!

Awwh, don't be ashamed of any of your actions You've got nothing to be ashamed of, in fact it's that to**er who should hang his head in shame You've got a lot of responsibility in work and part of that involves you following certain procedures in certain circumstances, so don't let that make you feel ashamed of how you acted It was a tough position you were put in and you should be proud that you were able to follow the procedures and have that composure to act in the way you did.

You were caught off guard, these aren't things we expect to happen in work so it's only natural that you feel upset by it. You have every right to be upset and annoyed too as it's disgraceful his actions Hope there was someone there for you to talk to and support you at the time

Well done Sweden-a deserved win!. Although we should have been second from first instead of second from last if it hadn't been for the Eastern Bloc votes!

Yeah it was very clear we were heading to Stockholm (well I assume it's Stockholm hosting ) for ESC 2013

Not sure whether I ever thought we'd reach second (or even the left hand side of the leaderboard ), but I thought we may have received some more points than that

Yeah I kind of just didn't react almost, I dunno, maybe it was better I didn't.

There wasn't really anyone to speak to at the time, there weren't many of us in.

I might mention it tomorrow.

Oh and Jase -cuggles- people are scum.
Thanks.

Changing the subject slightly, I'm feeling awkward for other reasons at work now..

Okay so there's this guy there, and he's gay. I quite like him, but he's a fair bit younger, he only left sixth form yesterday, and I feel so awkward about it, and it doesn't help with all the cradle snatcher jokes people are making about me.

It's also not the most appropriate thing because I'm in charge of him..but he's just so cute.

It sounds like a real shitty situation to be in either way and if you were taken aback by it, there's no wonder you didn't have much of a reaction.

Well whatever happens with it, I hope that it's suitably resolved for you

Aww a happier thing at work for you though If you both like each other and want to go grab a drink or something, don't let any other colleagues put you off. Age is just a number at the end of the day so if you both like each other go for it! I don't know what your exact work policies are though, but providing there's nothing prohibiting it then I don't see anything wrong with it tbh

As for you being in charge of him, don't let that stop you Not sure what store it is you work for, but my friend was worried initially about dating her line manager (or some other type of manager/boss at ASDA) but they're still together now 2 years down the line and still going strong

Thing is, he's kind of seeing someone, just not like, seriously. At the moment, I'm just getting to know him, but apparently, everyone can tell I like him when they see us talking.

I think he's oblivious to it though, which is one thing I'm grateful for lol.

It's weird cause usually I'm happy to be telling people what's on my mind, but anytime I find myself close to saying something to him, I get all shy.

Ah, well that's maybe a bit more tricky Though if they're finished with their non-serious thing and he's free and there's no chance you could sort of get hurt in the cross-fire then go for it! I hate it when I'm like that and people can tell from my actions and when speaking to them that I like someone!! LOL lucky you if he's at least oblivious to it for the time being until you decide what you want to do

Awwh that's quite sweet that you get all shy around him

Well besides from burning up inside, the Euro party I went to was fun.

I liked Cyprus, Spain and Italy and thought they all should have done better... Glad Sweden won. She reminds me of Carly Rae Jepsen - must be the fringe.

As much as Albania was lol to watch, surprised she and Serbia were as high as they were! Greece as well! Wasn't surprised the UK was so low as the song was so shit it!

Toms are so painful to wear! I think I'm getting a blister on my pinky, thank god I put a plaster on it earlier but they are so red! Damn Chinese people with fat/flat feet!

I'm quite at ease with him generally, but like, yeah, I do tend to get a bit coy at times.

I just wish it wasn't so obvious to everyone else that I like him. Someone else pulled me up on it yesterday lol.

I should probably get to bed, I'm in at 7! Night x

Aww, I find it really attractive if I become shy around someone - it adds to their overall aura if you know what I mean.

I didn't know if I would like Tom's so I only bought one pair and it's so annoying because I do actually like them but every time I wear them, they destroy me feet. It's weird because on one foot it gives me a blister on my big toe but on the other, it gives me a blister on my pinky. I don't get it

Haha I'd take the burning up inside any day at the moment!! Pleased it was a good night though

When I was watching her perform, I was reminded quite a lot of Claudia Winkleman

Ouchy! It's always the worst when it's the pinky that blisters!! I don't have any, but my brother has a couple pairs and reckons they're the comfiest things he's had in ages

Oh and you know how I was on about my lobster like skin, well I've just discovered that not only is it bright red, but it's totally gone patchy on the arms AND only halfway around It looks so stupid and I actually feel like my skin is on fire more than when I was abroad

Haha at least he's oblivious to it for you then and you shouldn't worry about being coy as it's quite often cute when people get all shy and embarrassed around those they like.

Ahh lol no way! What'd you do when they pulled you on it?

Jeesh! That's an early start for you!! Night Cakey and hope you have a better shift at work tomorrow x

Aww, sounds like it's time to break out the calamine lotion.

I just smiled lol, then she was like, "Jason!"

I hate that I'm up now..I think I need to adjust to the early, so that no matter what shift I'm doing I won't feel so sleepy, but it's difficult!

Yeah, I only have one pair and its the first time I've worn them in months. Comfy for a while but yeah I don't think the heat helps as I got in last night and took them off red spots on the pinky, a little on the big and the bit where they stop where the 'tongue' would be.

I suppose at least its not at the heel as well, they are the worst!

Haha I'd take the burning up inside any day at the moment!! Pleased it was a good night though When I was watching her perform, I was reminded quite a lot of Claudia Winkleman
Other comparisons that were made were to the woman from the Ring.

They are pretty comfy, but small, I had to go up a size for them! They do stretch out the more you wear them though.

Ouch! AFTERSUN!! And a lot of it! Hopefully it will heal fast.

Just to re-iterate what everyone else has said, don't let homophobes get you down, if I were you I'd just treat these people with distain. That arsehole ain't worth getting upset about.

Age is only a number Jase, and if there's no policy about staff relationships and s**t then why not, at least if he knew how you felt you wouldn't be left wondering what he thinks

Yeah, I know, I guess I just dunno whether it's worth risking like, saying something, and it being all awkward if he's not interested, what with me working with him. Plus, he's like, going off to uni and stuff..
