Thanks, it was great!Well we had ceilidh band/music things but ceilidhs aren't that common down here, I think it's more popular up there
In fact, I don't think I've ever ceilidh danced ![]() Quote:
Pfft right back at ya But no one was disadvantaged - both were out playing. Its hardly like Nole had his half of the court sheltered while poor Rafa was out in the rain with the heavy tennis balls. The conditions were the same when it was suspended as they were the previous hour or so, so why didn't the ref/Umpire either suspend play earlier or leave it to continue if they believed the conditions were fine, which was what Nadal was questioning when play was eventually suspended I was a tad shocked though to see them both lose enough composure with Nole breaking his bench and Rafa chucking that ball at the umpire over the duration of the match
![]() Visibility wise didn't one of the commentators mention that Nole wears contacts - which would cause more discomfort, therefore, making visibility more difficult for Nole overall. ![]() (PS - why can't they just use the tennis balls once if thats a problem...? I mean surely they have plenty of spares sitting around...) Yeah, I found it funny that during the first suspension, they actually focused on Nole and how fast they changed the bench. xD And lol at the outrage when Nole flipped his racquet in the air. xD Quote:
lol those 6 points definitely didn't help, but I'm hopeful this night long break will give them both a rest so we can have a more heated contest which many expected it to be! As much as I'm loving Rafa winning, it's not really living up to expectations as it just seems like it was all Rafa's way the first 2 sets and now Djoko's way the next two...I'd rather it have been neck and neck all the way (even though my nerves would've been shot with that)!!It sucks that it's been suspended till tomorrow! Yeah, those football lights would be great, or just not let the Americans dictate such a late start to the final I know, I don't think the match would be completed in one day though if they reached a 5th set. If they'd been allowed to start sooner, we'd probably have either been finished by now, or at least a good bit into the 5th!
Same - both seemed to be lacking something today. Noles serving was a bit off for the majority of the match.Hopefully tomorrow they both can play better overall. And Nole can get all 4 slams under his belt

Paha, that made me chuckle! If you actually knew what I looked like you'd realise how funny that statement is
I'm like the last person that could ever pull of the bad boyness look, so my attitude will need to suffice for it ![]() *According to television. |

Haha but Rafa was disadvantaged because of the slower pace caused by the rain on the clay and balls which suited Nole more (as seen by the fact Nole only really got momentum after the rain had got like that) I'm guessing we could debate this one till we're blue in the face Javvy ![]() Quote:
Visibility wise didn't one of the commentators mention that Nole wears contacts - which would cause more discomfort, therefore, making visibility more difficult for Nole overall. Ooh I genuinely didn't know that, but if it's the case, surely it would help Nole with his contacts
From my experience, when the weather's more humid/moist I've had less discomfort than when it's warm/dry when my eyes tend to become more itchy and irritated...Quote:

I was wondering this, I mean if they're causing that much of a problem then why re-use them so much ![]() Quote:

Haha I loved the sarcy remarks from the ITV commentators about the amount of coverage Perrier were getting from it ![]() Quote:
I know, I don't think the match would be completed in one day though if they reached a 5th set. If it went to 5, I was expecting numerous hours of play over two days, but I'm hoping for 4 with Rafa demolishing him tomorrow when he comes back fresh to take his record breaking 7th French Same - both seemed to be lacking something today. Noles serving was a bit off for the majority of the match.Hopefully tomorrow they both can play better overall. And Nole can get all 4 slams under his belt

Haha, indeed... though I claim your reasoning invalid if Nole wins tomorrow and it isn't wet! Deal? ![]() Quote:

It could go both ways really. Generally I find they are more uncomfortable in stronger winds or super sunny weather - more to do with squinting due to sun than anything. But I assume as they are running a lot its likely to be more painful when they go into your eyes - as with normal water... Though I do tend to wear my contacts when its raining - mainly to avoid cleaning my glasses so often. ![]() How are yours coming along? If I remember you were getting/just got some? Quote:

Its clearly the better outcome but unlikely ![]() ![]()

They're going really well I've been use the dailies since November now and not had any problems thankfully!Quote:

Yeah, clearly the better outcome for you 4 sets. Rafa wins. Nole doesn't get his 4 titles. History still made It's win, win, win.....C'mon Rafa xD Quote:

If I know I'm gonna be wearing them, I tend to put them in a good half hour till an hour beforehand so I have time to adjust properly as it can sometimes take a while for them to go clear! It's weird when I take them out and put my glasses straight on though

![]() ![]() My official ones still aren't released! Last year our board meetings were the 20th, so another week probs. Let's just say that I had particular focus on my finals for one reason or another and surprisingly it turned out to be one of the best things I could've done I really hope they don't change though, else there'll be one very grumpy GG ![]() Gah that's so annoying! I think we need to wait until either the w/c 18th or 25th June for our official confirmation and classification on the Uni results pages! I'm hoping the 18th ![]() On a side note, Vamos Rafa* ![]() *sorry Javvy, couldn't help myself there ![]()
