Well, I've just had the car-ride from hell.

I was driving past a primary school where the parents feel the need to jackknife their expensive cars across the road and then wait there for three and a half hours until their little darlings come out, which makes driving past very hard. I had to parallel park in an incredibly tight space while a beast of a van drove past, and then inch my way out to avoid trashing my car or any of the cars surrounding. This huffy bitch in an Audi behind me started beeping and gesticulating furiously as if trying to hurry me along- not helping my concentration as I squeezed the car out. Felt like reversing at full throttle into her.

I can't believe I posted that ... I was only meant to think it!
That sounds like 94% of my posts.

I can't stand those awful 'yummy-mummies'. Sad little women who have no other responsibilities in their lives, spending their husbands cash and spending every day in the playground gossiping.

Back in July I went to my little cousins' sports day in rural Kent, so naturally a lot of the people that live in that area are quite well off. Anyways, for 3 hours I had to sit next to these stupid Nigella Lawson clones trying to get one over each other. The low point was when they were discussing how many days holiday per year their husbands get.

Sorry for that little rant but they really irritate me.

Were you in New York when there was that tornado on Saturday?
Yep - but it just got really windy where I was - knocked over a massive plant pot and a few bins.

Quick question....before people went to uni, how much did they do of the reading list given? After travelling and being generally busy with things over the past few weeks, I've just ordered my books for the first semester (arriving on Wednesday, I move in on Saturday, lectures start on the 24th).

D'you reckon that's ok or will lecturers look at me like I have just slapped their mothers if I walk in without reading all of the books?

I've never even seen a reading list and I've made it to the final year

Thank the lord, I've found a decent live stream! Just in time to see Murray lose the third set.

It depends what happens in this set! It's got to be up there with Nadal - Federer in the Wimbledon final in 2008 this though

Incredible

Yeah it is just unreal. I'm actually shaking with nerves and I think I will bawl like a baby if he wins

Two breaks up in the final set! You've got to give Andy credit here, after that third set I didn't think for a minute he'd be able to come back.

Oh god, if he loses now after all this he'll be completely devastated. It just doesn't bear thinking about.

I think I've gone through half a bottle of gin.

This will destroy him if he doesn't win

The only way I've ever imagined Murray winning a grand slam is in a 5 set match that makes you want to pull every hair off your head. So that gives me a bit of hope cos I'm going bald right now
