Does anyone else have Stealthy installed on Google Chrome?

It's not working for me. Even when green, it won't allow me to watch videos blocked in the UK.

Just found out I've got an interview for an apprenticeship next Tuesday. Yay!

I'm hoping that if I get it, I won't have to start until June so I can enjoy Eurovision week.
Good luck with that, what subject does the apprenticeship specialise in?

Woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow on the rooftops.

The weather has officially lost the plot.

Don't forget the County Cricket match at Buxton in June 1976 was snowed off and I recall one May Day parade in the village I grew up in where the parade was curtailed because of sleet. It was quite funny because the May Day queen had a lovely dress topped off by the truck driver's donkey jacket because she was so cold!

Doesn't feel like Spring atall, just November all over again. I wish it was sunny and warm like it was at the end of March, although on the plus side a wet spring normally indicates a good summer so maybe all hope is not lost.

You have a bank holiday today?! Here it's a normal Monday, last Tuesday was bank holiday here though, which it probably wasn't there Sorry if I confused anyone, it's just interesting how these differ from country to country (and I seem to have forgotten some of the UK ones already...).

Yeah, here in the UK the May Day holiday takes place on the first Monday of May instead of May 1st.

Bizarre set-up because it kind of defeats the whole object of May Day.

Is the weather half decent for anyone else? I'm becoming dangerously obsessed with the weather, it's sunny here but also cloudy and I'm paranoid that it will turn into rain and it's having strange effects on my mind.

You are definitely obsessed with weather Foxy! Maybe you have missed your vocation and actually need to be the next Look East weather girl?

We've already been out this morning, Little Anzej's birthday money was burning a hole in his pocket, and he's the proud owner of 3 new sets of Yu Gi Oh cards and two Super Soaker guns (are they included in the hosepipe ban?)

I'm giving myself half an hour furkling around the internet before tackling the ironing pile which looks like something Sir Edmund Hillary would think twice about

Oh Maddy I'm so lost when it comes to football I can even bring myself to dream about it.
I haven't kicked a football since year 8.

Don't you have to be a meteorologist to be a weather or do you only need a pretty face, because I think I only fit one part of that criteria and it aint the fact that I'm a meteorologist.

Oh Super Soakers! I remember those, I used to have water fights with the other kids who lived in my cul-de-sac when I was little although I would always cry and throw tantrums whenever I got too wet.

Yu Gi Oh cards? No, I was a huge Pokemon geek and I hated it when the craze wore off, Yu Gi Oh never caught on in my school but I was still a Pokemon lover and even had a talking Meowth toy that would speak whenever it thought somebody had said something, it really crepped me out in the middle of the night when I would be woken up by him saying 'Meowth! That's right!'

Yeah, it came back to me when I read that, though I had kind of forgotten about it already; I remember wondering about that too, i.e. why it wasn't on 1st May but around 6th or 7th May

(Reminds me, when I first moved to the UK I didn't even know that "bank holiday" means the same as public holiday... )

I just found out I have a long exam on the morning of the 26th! Very upset, it throws a minor wrench in my Eurovision party plans - now I'll only have a few hours to decorate the living room, and cook all the various European foods!

Definitely a wind up. What are you doing in the GD forum Anne that is certainly no place for a woman of your elegance.

Why did Tom lock the thread then?!

Blame the others, they made me go and have a look at an anti Eurovision thread

I've never been in GD before and it doesn't look like a nice place to be,....

EDIT: And elegant? Not if you'd just seen me moshing round my living room to the rockabilly version of Satellite which just shuffled on to my iTunes

You know, whenever you make me picture you in your mind you're still wearing your red jumpsuit.
