If it's the greatest night of the year then surely I don't need alcohol to enjoy it.

Tipsy is my favourite emotion. If only I could stay forever tipsy and defer actual drunkenness (and the morning after!)
Oh, every night I do this - procrastinate before bedtime even though I've promised myself an early-ish night (1 being reasonable!) I'm watching Breaking and Entering and even though I saw it at the cinema when it first came out, I can't help but be entranced by Juliette Binoche. She's pretty amazing anyway but when playing a Bosnian refugee she's hitting all my emotional buttons! I've still got to take a shower and read a chunk of my book so I can finish it tomorrow - I'm currently reading The Well of Loneliness, described as "the archetypal lesbian novel" - it was banned on publication in 1928 and faced a legal trial for obscenity. The main character doesn't even kiss another woman until page 162! Thank goodness things change. |

I'm with you - a sober Eurovision is the best kind of Eurovision for me.

Can't have a party sober Foxy! Try getting my lot around to watch ESC without alcohol is non negotiable! It also numbs the pain of the results

I got talking to a guy on the internet (like you do ...
) he's a DJ who's created all sorts of ESC megamixes, and he's sent me a bucketful of CD's to listen to!Am currently working my way through a mix of 2007-2010 songs, it's really rather good - the only problem is that it lasts 1:16:11 - some of the other mixes he sent are over 3 hours ![]() I'll be doing big fish little fish cardboard box for some time to come.... |

There's a severe paper shortage at school, yet my friend and I used about 250-300 sheets earlier.

It may as well be Britains got Singers and Dancers:yawn: Don't get me started on that d**k Cowell. How can he buzz the lazer harp guy yet be quite happy to listen to that Latino girl and rapping codgers

Are there any megamixes of specific years? I love the 2011 one!
He's sent me some doubles, so the Ultimate FM prize for 2012 might already be sorted

I was expecting stuff like he did for 2011, so these super long remixes are a bit of a shocker ... that one I said about being 2007-2010 - up pops Nikki French at some point

Oh, is it the same guy? Nicki gets everywhere - she was hosting the London Preview Concert a few weeks back. I suppose it's great to see a former UK representative who didn't do particularly well still loving the contest.
I do need something to keep in my Petr pouch. ![]() ![]() I've been getting little bits and bobs of memorabilia over the months anyway, but my collection has grown hugely today with these cds. One of them is a DVD data disc, I checked it and it has 6 tracks on it, each over 3 hours long *thud* I think he's some sort of DJ, he said that some of the mixes go down well at his gigs Ooh, Min Karlek! Sorry ... but songs keep popping up when I least expect them

Oh I agree. It's just as manipulated as X Factor. But I do think Ryan deserves to do well, he's very talented and the fact that he won tonight with a song he wrote himself is really impressive.
Ashleigh and Pudsey all the way. It's at least different |

Ryan's songs are absolutely terrible. You forget them as soon as they're over! No hook whatsoever.
I've had that Lovesick song in my head for the last couple of days and i've only heard it twice. |

He was very good I agree but he'll have his vote split with the similar singer from the other night.

But it's better than a singer or street dancer.
Quite like the Synchronised swimmers I do I don't like the SS on the basis that if they cannot perform the act on the stage they shouldn't be allowed to compete. How are they going to set that up if they end up on the Royal Variety? |

They should have put all the singers in the same semi. It's a joke pretending it's a variety show when it's not.

Not a fan of Cowell's Got an Ego, the idea of a programme with him, Ant and Dec all in the same area is an emetic more powerful than a glass of salt water. Where are all these terrorists when you need them? |

Me and a flatmate just came home after a heavy night celebrating the end of exams and one of my housemates came out complaining after she took my housemate to bed cos she had been sick. I thanked her and said I would clean it up, then she started to complain and I kicked off and shouted at her about how she licks everyones arses who lives in the house haha. I even threw my food in the bin which I had cooked, that really signifies anger from me haha
![]() Now I have two weeks left here of people hating me. Oops, thank god im not living with crazy women scousers next year. Eeeeek haha |
