Whenever I hear short shorts, that clip plays in my head. Although I originally thought it was Stan from American Dad - but it's easy to confuse the two! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfArU...eature=related
Even Stewie got them mixed up in 'Stewie Kills Lewis Part 2'.

Bloody hell, does everyone have amazing weather today? I've just spent the last few hours sunbathing!

Isn't it great?
Love how the weather cheers up right at the start of Eurovision, that's no coincidence.

I did actually know that existed and I'm sure that's the inspiration for Family Guy. I do like the urgency of the latter!

I've started on the wine already for tonight.

I'll be moving onto cocktails by the end of the night.

I have some celebratory champagne lined up for Saturday, too.

You'll be pleased to know that I managed to get 35 or 36 into the General Studies exam.

And with that (well, technically the exam I had this afternoon), they're over and I'm off until 11 June!

Wine and snacks purchased for tonight! Husband is out at a work thing (which I probably should be going to, since we work at the same company.. but hey) so I have the house to myself. Going to clean and tidy up and settle in with the couch all to myself come 8pm. Small pleasures.

Not too far off 28 (in conversation recently I came out with "...best part of 30" which shocked me into shutting up!)

That song even predates my Mom by a year!

Admiring your ability to prioritise

I daren't start drinking yet - not until a bit before 8. Can't go into Montenegro completely unprepared.

Am back from hospital appointment and my tyre is fixed too - now the fun can start

Have just played "This Is The Night" 3 times on the trot, I know that's not on tonight, but it's just summing up how I feel

Cava in the fridge, and I've been slow roasting belly pork in soy and ginger all afternoon, new pots and salad - it smells divine!

EDIT: Hospital people were annoying "So, tell me what symptoms are you suffering at the moment?" so I'd tell them, and they'd nod and agree and say "It's the lupus" and tell me there's nothing that we can do about it - why bloody ask me then?! Only 5 phials of blood this time, it was 7 last time and I almost starting singing DJ Bobo at her

Erm, I can remember meeting a couple of Brummie girls in the 1970s in a local disco....

This is news to me. I thought it was life threatening.
Have you had it since childhood?

Only developed it 4 years ago, there's two types - basically it can attack your skin and your joints, or attack your internal organs (which is the type you really don't want!). One doesn't always lead to another, so I don't let it change anything. I just have to take a bunch of tablets every day and always have factor 50 on, even in the winter

If I do have a flare up though, I have to be monitored a bit more closely

It's all good, I'm still able to do most things - bet I could even tackle the Crystal Maze again if they wanted me back for a reunion special (like Steps, but better )

Aww sorry to hear that Anne, I'm glad that it doesn't get you down.
If it's any consolation I have to take 2 different types of tablet everyday too, although my reasons are very very different from yours!

Just booked for 10 days in Tangiers (sounds like a dodgy film title) in August!

First time I've ever been to Morocco (whose rich and fertile lands in some part helped shape the marvellous Loreen)

Glad you told us where it is 21CB because I honestly wouldn't have any idea! Who are you going with?

I'm going to Bournemouth Pride in July with 4 other friends so I at least have something to look forward to when Eurovision 2012 is over, I don't normally do pride given that it's gay pride but does anyone here do pride often?

I've been listening to some thrash-ska music today, courtesy of my nephew whose band are big in that area - for some reason he values my opinion about music

I now need schlager to counteract!

Make sure there's at least 2 key changes in your song choices to cleanse your ears.
