I wish we had a similar contest for the UK, with the regional news broadcasters doing it - ie, Tyne Tees, Granada, Calendar (athough I still find it bizarre that a region is named 'Calendar').

I just want to watch it for fun, anyway. I like a lot of the artists that have featured on it.

I also like how all 12 of Hessen's points last year came from Hessen.

I was thinking that last night. The BBC and the like are always trying to bring new British music to a wider audience, but they only seem to do it during the early hours and spend the rest of the time plugging the new (usually American) sensation.

Ok me and the other half are arguing over what the first dance should be.

One says Shania - From this moment on.
Other says Lonestar - Amazed

What one do you think is best. I've made her agree that what comes on top here wins. Vote for my choice!!!!

Edit : or Cyni - I'll Leave my heart. Random late choice

Went to the amusements at the coast today was so much fun.

My friend went in this thing called Tornado storm or something. Basically like a capsule you stand in then the wind inside picks up. The best thing was that about 15 people gathered around watching her in it, I couldn't stop laughing

Boo! My flatmate will be happy.. he's from ... that place.
Lots of North/South Tyneside rivalry in the flat!

And ew, that's disgusting. Thankfully we get our fish and chips from Whitley.. we had them tonight as a matter of fact.

hahaha but lets be honest all these small places are just pawns to the King that is Newcastle

I always get confused with coastal areas though, always know i'm in Whitley Bay though when I see the big abandoned white pub on the seafront. I swear thats been empty my entire life haha. It looks quite good as far as empty buildings go though haha

EDIT: This could be a split vote. Make sure there's an odd number choosing.

SECOND EDIT: Changing my vote - From This Moment On is more emotional without such a strong rock base. Suits a first dance more.

THIRD EDIT: This could be why I struggle to make decisions during fantasy contests.

Lonestar - Amazed

I have an aversion to Shania, even though it's a good song!

Just got back from Norwich, my friend is such a star. Yesterday we went to the vue cinema and saw Snow White, I wasn't totally intent on watching it as I don't do fantasy but she told me there were a few foxes in it so she won me over, it was actually a pretty good film.

And this morning she took me on a little tour around the cathedral and the park by the river, it was stunning. We also did a bit of clothes shopping and went to Pizza Express in the Forum only for me to whine in frustration as I spilled pizza sauce down my top, I'm VERY fussy with stains! Basically I must have covered the entire city and Anne still didn't see me.

Lucky escape sweetheart! I've been working Yarmouth today (makes me sound like a streetwalker ) so haven't had the joys of the city

Glad you had a good time, that area around the cathedral is pretty nice - til you get to the hostel round the corner anyways

Only working til midnight tonight, substantially more sober than I was this time last week
