I've had 2 weeks off to be able to go into the city centre...so what do I do?I leave it until Saturday. The Saturday when Pride is going on. I have never seen so many lesbians in one place and I watch Lip Service.

(I may have mistaken some of the camp emo gay guys for lesbians too but it can't be helped.)

Also, in HMV and bear in mind, I was wearing a coat, some guy came up to me to ask for help. My "Hellooo" caught him off guard.

I don't usually drink - the occasional bottle of beer, maybe once every other month, but give me Eurovision week and I go crazy! I was even tutted at by LA

The only alcohol we usually have at home is wine, which I don't like, so I hardly ever drink.

Evening guys!

I need advice. Has anyone ever used Rosetta Stone? Is it worth it? I've wanted to learn French for ages, and was gonna invest in the first level, but it's quite expensive. So I'm not sure.

Also, lately I've been thinking about learning Swedish. Everyone else I've spoken to about this thinks I'm crazy. But as Eurovision fans, do you see where I'm coming from? Should I choose French or Swedish?

I've looked at the prices, and even the most basic pack is really expensive, but if you're sure I'd go for it. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about Rosetta so it must be worth it. I'd recommend anyone wanting to learn another language take a look at this forum as well:

The reviews of Rosetta Stone seem to be mixed. Some people swear by it but others think they wasted their money on it.

I always tell myself to learn another language, but I can never pick one. I've been swaying a lot towards German for the past couple of months, and it has always been very high on my list. I just need to find the effort.

Remember, when you learn Swedish, you'll get functional Danish thrown in for free!

I got an A at GCSE in French. Not that it means anything other than I remember what pamplemousse means!

Primary school...oh, they didn't let us loose on foreign until secondary school here.

My favourite German remembrance (and I think it applies to the Dutch and Danish too) is kunst = art.

Plus, Ich bin ausländer und spreche nicht gut deutsch...to the tune of She'll be coming 'round the mountain...

A question for you all. Monarchist, Republican, couldn't give a damn?

Monarchist. Though I couldn't give a damn previously, I've changed as I've grown up.

Purely economically, for all the 'waste of money' comments I think the Royal Family actually bring in more cash then they spend. So many tourists love coming for our history and the current Royal Family.

Thank you for all your help! That forum looks like a fountain of knowledge Wolfie. Although whenever I'm on another forum I always feel like I'm cheating on DS I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet, try RS and see if it works for me.

On republicanism/monarchism: if I were creating a society, I wouldn't have a monarchy, but for the UK, I quite like the Queen and see her and the rest of them as ambassadors to charity and good causes - not mentioning the economic boost and status it gives to the UK.

i like the monarchy at the moment but as soon as Charles is king I will not.

I have Euphoria playing but after that I'm going to Safura my life up. Azerbaijan [i]can't[i/] face a ban. Can't the EBU just slap the back of their legs and then chase them around Benny Hill style before calling it quits and starting again?!

I'm not a Monarchist as such but Liz and Co are living history. I like them enough to keep them. I'm like Pam though, can't abide by that Diana but Camilla's alright!
