Congrats wolfie! What will you be studying at Aberdeen? Apart from Scottish people that is ...

I caught a few mins of the ALW thingy on ITV, but was freaked out when the contestants were saying "I could be Jesus" (or was it I could, bejesus!)

Is anyone watching the mens doubles final at Wimbledon?

I hope I don't put the jinx on it but if you like British tennis put it on now!
I watched. Great stuff. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of British tennis - I'm supporting Fed tomorrow - but I wanted Marray and Nielsen to win. Also, what a dashing Dane.

Big Serena (and Venus) fan so really pleased she won today (although sad for Radwanska at the same time), hoping the sisters win tonight too.

I'm definitely supporting Murray tomorrow! I was glad Serena won today as well.

It's weird that the last time a Brit won the mens singles was 1936 and in the same year it was the last time a Brit won the mens doubles. Omen maybe

Oh dear, were the results that bad?

Joking, well done wolfie

(Sorry Aberdeen)
Well done wolfie. Welcome to the GB mainland! (Do do actually live in France right?)
Congratulations Wolfie!

Tack everyone. I'll be studying Conservation Biology, really looking forward to it.

Also, what a match that men's doubles final was! I've just been looking at Marray and Nielsen's bios...Marray's's 31 years old and has never made it past the third round of a slam before, Nielsen's 28 and has only competed in one slam where he was knocked out in the first round. Incredible.

So is that like....Pandas?

I've finally come to the decision that I'm going to get myself a rhinoplasty, I'm going to try and work as hard as I can to get the money and I won't stop at anything, even if I have to get like three different jobs. Many will think I'm shallow but I personally just don't like my nose.

Pandas, tortoises, spiders, you name it.

I feel your pain by the way. Many a time I've been mistaken for Pinocchio thanks to my giant honker.

Even though I wanted Federer to win, I may have had leaky eyes at the end.

I've never been tempted to watch that kind of stuff, just sounds like brain melting TV.

Having watched Newsroom now, I see what you mean globbits about it being a bit Studio 60 (which I also loved) but at least that there was a lot of walking along corridors spouting script at 100mph

Very enjoyable first episode (but it was on for 1hr 40 so was it two episodes?) and I will try and catch as much as I can of the rest

Hope it lasts longer than Studio 60 at any rate!
The first one is an extended episode, they are normally 1 hour - it airs on HBO in the US, so can really be an hour long instead of the fake "40 mins + ads" hour you normally get.

Unfortunately, being on HBO also means there are only 10 episodes this year. It's been picked up for a second season already which is good, and is enough to guarantee that it'll last longer than Studio 60 in terms of time on air even if it doesn't beat it by number of episodes
