Yeah many of times, one time she ate normal for a few days and I told her she really was like a different person. In those situations its often long psychological help they need or the shock factor of being in hospital or something. ![]() Your doing a great job ![]() I also have some "big" friends, and they seem to be happy with themselves. I can see that they will also change if they drop 20-30 kg... |

I was also disappointed by nandos, made wayyy better chicken myself
![]() I was gonna post something on the subject of food myself. Just started eating healthy (god help me working at kfc haha) but really got me thinking about one of my best friends She was easily 14 stone and stood about 5 foot 1. She was probably one of the most unhealthiest people (apart from myself ) that I have ever known but also so fun and presumingly happy with life. Then what felt like overnight she started losing weight, eventually I found out she was bulimic. She lost about 4 stone in about 5 months. Now she weighs about 7 stone and god bless her she looks terrible. The saddest part though is the girl before and after the weight loss are like two totally different people. Her full personality has totally changed and as cliche as it may sound, I look at pictures of her now and then and it really makes me feel like I have lost a good friend and gained a friend who is never gonna be happy in her current self. Not seen her for few months now, keep trying to meet up with her but something always pops up. Coincidently that coincides with her getting 'engaged' to a boy who shes known for 3 months. Think shes trying to avoid me as she knows i'm one of her friends who won't just nod and pretend to be happy for her when I believe its absurd. But this is just one of he acts which seemed to happen when she developed this eating disordered and change of personality Wow I woffled on then . Has anyone else had friends or close ones with eating disorders? Its so sad to see someone do it to themselfsIf she's not getting counselling already then she definitely should. I guess it's hard to help her when she's avoiding you but all you can do is be there for her if she needs you. A few years ago my (now ex) best friend started seeing a guy and within three weeks they had moved in together. Before she met him she was planning on travelling around South America with another friend of ours (flights booked and everything) and she pulled out on her a week before they were due to go. She told me that the bf was putting pressure on her to stay but that she really wanted to go travelling, so when she ended up staying I was worried about her and told her so. Haven't seen her since - in fact none of us who were honest with her have. Like your friend, she only stayed in touch with the people who pretended to be happy for her! |

I've had eating disorders in the past, even now my parents are always paranoid that I keep rushing to the toilet after every meal to throw up. People have asked me if I suffer from anorexia which I don't, I just never put on weight.
People may call me lucky but I've been told by Doctors that I'm dangerously underweight. |

when I was 18, i was very very thin.. I had an ulcer.. this was before they discovered the bug that causes ulcers.. my ulcer burst and I had to have several pints of blood.. I then had an operation for a partial gastrectomy.. my weight was an amazing 5 stones 13 1/2 pounds! I put my weight back on after two years and in my twenties my average weight was 9 stones 7 pounds.. but for every decade after my twenties I've have been putting on a stone for every decade..

I'm being exposed by my brother and some of his pals to Canal Street tomorrow night!
I remember once going down there last year in the middle of the heatwave when I was heaps drunk and it looked great fun. |

Just seen the Dark Knight Rises, don't think I've ever seen a cinema so packed in my life
! Not a patch on the Dark Knight, but still a great film nonetheless.

It's quite breezy too which is nice because I'm now off for a run. Hopefully I won't look like a sunripened tomato as I usually do when I've finished

Well done Wiggins, what an amazing achievement! Not to mention Mark Cavendish and his 23rd stage win.

![]() I can't moan, I'm in my garden with my laptop listening to Daft Punk, the smell of barbecues is such a lovely reminder that summer is finally here, for real.

You should start again, it's surprisingly enjoyable. A lot easier with music though

I had a great night out in Manchester and heard Euphoria twice- not bad given that the contest was two months ago!
Also, forgot to mention ages back I heard it in Leadmill in Sheffield (which is a notoriously rock orientated club) so it's getting cross genre appeal which is brilliant. |
