And now a slightly disappointing bronze but a medal's still great! My arms are so sore from waving my flags through all the races!
My wife just text me saying she was in tears at the womens race and has lost her voice after the 8's.

And she hates sport!

Is it just me or is the Lithuanian flag really ugly? The colours don't go together at all imo.

I agree, somehow they managed to choose three colours which all clash with each other. I've always liked the Estonian flag though, and the Latvian one isn't too bad either.

Bit like their eurovision entries really.

I agree about the Estonian flag, it's not all that colourful but it really works well. Germany is one of my favourites, very striking colours.

FYR Macedonia has the best flag, alongside the Seychelles.

I quite like the UK's just because of how iconic it is.

I've always thought the Lithuanian flag should come from Africa or the Caribbean. Not an Eastern European country with miserable weather!

I like Lithuania's flag. But I love Macedonia's.

Best flag though...Wales - it's got a bloody big dragon on it! (Special mention to Bhutan.)

Also, hello British swimmer who finished last in his final. I would have given him a medal.

My wife sent me a message yesterday asking me why I couldn't have a body like the swimmers?

Did you resist saying back, "because then I wouldn't have a wife like you?"

They do look good though!

I got my new laptop!

When I say 'new' it's actually 2nd hand and it's an old Toshiba model, it's essentially a brick with a typewriter glued to it.

No webcam though, making videos for my vblog is going to be fun!

Something about the triangular shape of male swimmers is putting me off, I'm more for the gymnasts Anyone see that German dude on the high bar? I nearly squealed like a small girl as we had it on the big screen at work .. very distracting!

50 Shades of Yarmouth

'As he approached me with those pasty white arms hanging out of his Gola vest, his smile told me it was dole day and I knew my velour tracksuit would be hanging off the lampshade tonight. It was Dwayne's birthday, I was preparing his special tea of Findus Crispy Pancakes. I would let him take me any way he wanted tonight. His favourite position was what he called The Dogs Of War; where he took me from behind and played Call Of Duty at the same time.

Our 6 week anniversary was approaching. This would be my longest relationship without becoming pregnant. I thought of this as he lay on top of me making love, his skinny arms straddled my head like breadsticks either side of an orange. As I rubbed his whiter than white back, I imagined every mole I felt was spelling out Braille for 'I love you'

As I stood in line at the job centre thinking of reasons I couldn't work, a sweet smell drifted past my pig-like nostrils. It was a mixture of weed, BO and Lynx Africa. I turned around and there was Dwayne. Our eyes met and he was soon lifting me onto the wheelie bins behind Matalan. He had tied up his staffy to block the alley so we wouldn't be disturbed. Bob the tramp was watching, but it just added to the mystery. I knew it was love and my life would never be the same.....'

(not my own work, but I had to share!)

This guy caught my eye. I think the arms on gymnasts put them just above the swimmers in the attractive stakes.

Hilarious! And very probably close to the truth too. Yarmo isn't the nicest place on the planet - though it looks exotic compared to Jaywick (near Clacton).

Triangular bodies ftw! Plus swimmers should be good with the control of their breathing.

Although, the ginger Brit gymnast did get my attention.

50 Shades of Yarmouth the watching tramp and staffy with 50 Shades of Birmingham but I think it's behind a Greggs instead. 50 Shades of Shit is occasionally hilarious but always filthy follow on Twitter.

I think there are better looking guys there, but if he wants to say hello I won't be complaining.

Actually, I've just decided that this guy is my favourite now. Why are Spaniards so damn perfect?
