Awwww I maybe drunk but I am not ashamed to say I shed a lot of tears for Tom. Esp when he was doing his interview and was talking about his Dad.
I suspect with the BBC building up a lot people , a lot of the viewers forget he had just turned 18 ( I did at points). So glad he has got a medal. Can't wait to watch the closing ceremony tomorrow never been so proud to be British |

Aww some poor cat was run over, it was terrified and ran off when some one tried to pick it up and hid in some ones hedge, its terrible the RSPCA won't do anything about it but the PDSA is going to come out though now but the poor thing must be in so much pain.

I hope it makes a full recovery. I hate seeing pets get injured or hurt.

they took him to get treatment, they think its arm is broken and if it doesn't have FIV or anything he should be released when its all fixed, it was nice to see the neighbours rally round to get it sorted out.

He was very much like the cat from American Dad when he was running off attacking any one trying to get him, was just frightened though, hope he is coping well at the vets anyway.

That American Dad episode, whilst not great for human/feline relations did introduce me to this lovely song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51CO2S1TGDs Totally unrelated but this made me smile so much. Also, hello Conchita? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCiY1y3uJ3o Something else that made me smile was the name of Serbia's only gold medalist: Milica Mandic. I realise my brain is about 11 years old. |

So the Olympic sports have come to an end with the final medals ceremony consisting of a bronze for Brazil, the host of the next Olympic games in 2016, a silver for Great Britain, the triumphant host of this year's games, and finally a gold for... Lithuania?! Well that's one way to end the games I suppose! Perhaps it was a medal for the most eccentric national colours or most vile and terrible uniforms.
Or maybe it had something to do with individual merit?! ![]()

I'd have turned for Miss Lithuania.
Modern pentathon is utterly ridiculous though. Get rid. |

Hmmm. The stage in the stadium is looking... ummm... "interesting"...
At least it makes the taxi cabs in the spy shots make a bit more sense now, I suppose. |
