CarPhoneWarehouse Cancelled My Mobile Phone Contract Instead Of Changing Bill To o2
Hi All,
I have had my business mobile phones with carphonewarehouse for about 4 years with no problems apart from anoying phone calls about products all the time. The problem I have is recently I received a letter on the 29/2/12 stating they were changing my bill over to o2 as they no longer supported my tarrif and to call them. On the 1/3/12 I received another letter stating I had no need to call everthing would be changed over and I would not niotice any difference apart from the bill from o2. Now on the 30/3/12 they have cut both of my business phones off , when called they said the last letter was a mistake and that my mobile phone numbers are no longer available and they have been deleted, I phone them all day yesterday telling them I need these numbers as all my invoices and my vehicles have these numbers printed on them and they just said , Thats a shame and they cant recover the numbers. I have since contacted them telling them if they dont recover my numbers I will be going to watch dog as this is a joke. Then the operator said just one minute maybe we can do something a complete change of tune. from telling me to stop wasting there time. I have now had no phones from friday 12 noon and I am trying to run a refrigeration company which energency calls must be answered immediately. Carphonewarehouse have said if I am lucky the will have the numbers on again for monday. There customers services are terrible and I dont see why I should be treated this way because they are transfering my bill to o2. Is there anything I can do about this. Regards Chris2005 |

I think it's probably at least worth a call to Ofcom to find out your position, but you might also want to consult a solicitor to see if there's grounds for suing for some form of compensation for damage to your business. If you have written proof that CW informed you incorrectly, you might be able to do something.

Regards Chris2005 Copy and paste above and a link to this thread to Roger Taylor ( taylorr@cpwplc.com ) I would think he will be able to see that you as a customer have been treated very badly. And if he doesnt, then it will at least be on public record as a warning to anyone that they shouldnt trust Carphone Warehouse are a provider of their comms. |

Regards Chris2005 Does not really help with your CPW issue but a friend runs a similar emergency business, he swears by vodafones one net product. Reckons the system has caused a 20% uplift in his bottom line as never misses a phone call. Might be worth looking into |

Update.
I contacted roger taylor but never replied to my email. since that they have done what they said was impossible and turned the mobile numbers back on. They then phoned me with pack numbers when I asked why they were treating me like this they said they was more to it, I asked them to explain she said it was on record I hadnt paid a bill and it was on file, I told her this is not possible as all payments were always paid. She then checked the record and come back and apologized and said that was a mistake . Before that this morning they sent me a text to say my contract was still as normal , then 30 mins later they messaged to say phone immediately before disconnection. What a funny set up I don't think they know what they are doing . Regards Chris |
