Your Favourite Ever Boardroom?
Hey everyone!
It's been a slow week for me, so I was thinking about the two boardrooms that have happened this series so far and thinking that they were two very tense boardrooms, with one candidate talking herself out of the process and Lord Sugar implying he was going to make a triple firing last week. It got me thinking about what the best boardroom battles of the show have been. What are your favourite ever boardrooms? I'm going to offer one of the best boardrooms of the first two series - Series 2, Episode 4 - Chickengate! Sir Alan is furious, more angry than I've ever seen him and spends the entire boardroom ripping into Syed before firing Alexa: "You're a very, very bad manager, You're a lightweight - You're Fired!" |

It's gotta be the one where the 2 Jennys went in S4, after the buying task in Marrakesh.
Although equally as frustrating that Michael Sophacles didn't go!! |

Can't remember the series but I remember when Michael Sophocles got fired after the debacle with the chicken. He told LordSirAlan he was half Jewish, which got this fantastic response before he was fired.
" You're half Jewish ?. Well if you are unsure we can always pull your trousers down and check ! " Noorul also sticks in my mind, simply for the fact he was silent and useless. After firing him AS said something along the lines of " I've got a feeling about Noorul. Whoever employs him better make sure they get a receipt ! " Edit : Whoops, just saw that Sophocles didn't go after Chickengate .... |

The 2 Jenny's one, for that debacle over the Kosher Chicken, Jenny C's brutal firing was the sweeter, after LS found her out over her lying.

My favourite was the boardroom when Katie and this guy (his name escapes me now)flirted throughout an episode and their romance was revealed in the boardroom much to their embarrassment.
Might I offer the boardroom after the one between Kristina, Adam and Paul. The one where Katie Hopkins made the "Pinot Grigio" comment and the "Slow, Slow, Slow" one where she went gunning for Adam. It was interesting how pissed off she was at the whole Kristina outing her and Paul thing. |

Jedi Jim using the Force to change Leon's mind about bringing him back into the boardroom and the look on Glenn's face when he's picked instead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=-8FFuaYyCIY. Also when Jim calls Lord Sugar "Sugar". |

The 2nd boardroom in series 3, with Tre and Rory fighting tooth and nail, basically what they'd been doing the entire episode.
It had added drama due to Ifti already being fired after admitting that his head was not in the process, and Sugar deciding to fire another one aswell. |

The French disaster boardroom was amazing, with Kristina outing Katie & Paul's relationship, and pretty much being able to say "I told you so" throughout the whole thing!

It's got to be Marrakesh for me. Jenny C getting fired on her birthday and Michael Sophocles sweating as Sugar discovers he knows nothing about Judaism despite calling himself a "good Jewish boy" on his CV.
What a vile pair they were, and it was magic to see them get their comeuppances. Though it would have been better if Michael had been fired instead of Jenny M. |

Double firing - Jenny Celery + Jennifer (Series 4). Sophocles was humiliated in that boardroom as well (Kosher gate).

I'll go with the apparent majority here and agree that nothing has ever (or imo is likely to) top Marrakesh. Not only was is very entertaining, it was deeply satisfying - in essence, "You were all cr@p, you're now all talking cr@p, you're completely out of control, if it wouldn't seriously stuff up the series I'd boot the lot of you, as it is I'll just settle for kicking two of you out and humiliating the rest of this sorry bunch." I normally wouldn't hold with ritual humiliation but I'll make an exception for the group in that boardroom.
Couldn't stand any boardroom with Katie Hopkins in it. Hilarious? Must have passed me by. I don't think she was anywhere near as witty as she thought herself to be. |
