The Aaron Appreciation Thread (Part 16)

I knew Aaron was gonna come out with something controversial and I'm glad. Obviously the usual suspects are rabid in the main forum but you'd expect that
oh Wow! Busy Day! Just got home from a jubilee party so have just put TWS on and watched the intro.
I admire him from speaking out and it seems that at least 2 ousemates ( Shabby and Alex) so far have coe out in agreement ( 2 hm's I also respect) Will be interesting to see what other hm's have to say.
I'm in two minds to even watch this year!
I always think I'm quite restrained and sensible on here! I always try to think what would the HM think if they read this before I post things, and if it was my sibling/child how would I feel, but I will be extra careful this year after seeing Aaron on TWS.
If more people think twice before writing really horrible things and if more of the crowd think before booing people so visciously Aaron will ave done a wonderful thing to speak out.

On balance and with hindsight Shabby wasn't all that bad really. If she hadn't walked then maybe the show wouldn't have started to concentrate on JJJ so much.
Sadly I think renta-mob will be just as bad this year

It does sound that the aftercare on BB is very poor as other ex-housemates from other years are coming out of the woodwork and saying it's true. Aaron isn't afraid to be controversial and put his neck on the line - something to be admired. I think a lot of housemates don't seem to be prepared enough for what could lie ahead. Entertainment seems to be prioritised over the welfare of housemates. It's really sad that Aaron was a true BB fan and after his experience this many no longer be the case
. I am happy that him and Faye have each other for support as they've both been through the same thing.

I have to agree with you. In recent years I have questioned the suitability of some BB housemates even going into the house. I really wonder what kind of psychological tests and interviews they are given.
Good for Aaron to actually saying something. I guess though he has blotted his copybook now with BB - does he care? I think not.
He and Faye are working on a worthwhile project - Bar Zinger - and living a normal life and I really applaud them for it. I hope they continue to lead a happy life together.

Yes me too. I never felt so emotionally tied to two housemates as I have with Aaron and Faye - Aaron's face lit up when he mentioned Faye on TWS - it was really sweet

, although there is a guy called Chris who seems to be sussing some of the other housemates out - he might be one to watch if I can muster enough enthusiasm over the next few weeks. No-one can replace Aaron or Faye as top male and female housemates of all time though - not that I'm biaised

I like Luke A.... He seems to be the only normal one in the house this year (besides undergoing a sex change)

Yes I think he is one of the more genuine and nice people there. Some of the others are coming across as rather fake - I am waiting for their masks to slip. Not enjoying the show much tbh - Aaron and Faye last year made BB and I felt so emotionally attached to them, but definitely don't see any danger of that happening with any of this year's crop.
