I do feel for Aaron's supporters on twitter who rarely receive a reply.

His enemies are almost guaranteed one.

Aaron's so adorable on twitter. I've had replies from him before and he's lovely.

I really miss watching him tbh, think I prefer BB12 to this one purely because of him. We'll never get another housemate quite as amazing.

I'm sure he finds it easier to respond to the bile than to some of the banal tripe! What's he supposed to say to folks saying love you/have a good day/night night

He is obviously not saying a great deal about BB & specifically not about individual housemates. Spot on as otherwise he is engaged in the just the stuff that was so nasty for him last year.

tend to agree. I've dipped in this week. Lack of appeal and chemistry, coupled with BB overkill. Its not even a year ago!x

But he is not talking individual housemates which is where the bile for him last year was out of control.

That tends to happen alot,John James is like that.Aaron used to reply fans alot,he has replied me before but the abuse has stepped up since Bar Zinger.A lot of jelousy out there.

Thats the reason he was put in, because psyche tests showed he would crack under pressure.The house is 100% negative this year because of the talking about noms thing.It meant Hm's only perceived each other in negative ways, as you have to find fault to nom.
BB only seem to want conflict this year and will throw the lot of them under the bus to get ratings.There is no humour or fun side to the show. Remember Harry's bananas last year and how funny it was.If it happened this year, there would be carnage.
Everyone not just Conner seems so angry in there and so miserable. I don't think Conner is a bad person he is not able for the pressure in the house.He looks so confused and wound up, lack of sleep and stress IMO not evil.
He got his warning and if he does it again, he is out and rightly so.Jay got away with murder last year and got sympathy. He threatened violence and got mollycoddled in the Dr not warned.

Wasn't going to mention this, this being an Appreciation thread, but I have to admit that it does get a bit frustrating at times.

I can understand him being less and less on twitter these days because firstly he leads a very busy life what with BarZinger and all the other activities he's involved in and secondly after some of the abuse he's received it's made him wary but then on the occasions he does go on twitter he does seem to spend more time responding to abusive tweeters instead of just blocking and ignoring them, and less time responding to legit fans.

On the flip side I think Aaron is the type of person who wants to defend his corner and stand up for himself and so it must be difficult for him to avoid it but I think it would be appreciated by many if he did send a few more responses to those legit fans when he's on twitter.


BIB - people are entitled to say good morning/good night to him if they wish, I think it's a bit unfair to call it banal tripe - I don't send him or Faye those sort of tweets myself but I know people want to show their support. But yes especially as he has so many followers, if he was to respond to all those wishing him good morning/good night he'd be on twitter all day, but when people send him questions or quite funny messages you'd kinda hope that he'd respond to some of these more than to some of the bile he receives, especially as Aaron is known for his humourous banter and for giving intelligent comments.

I've had a response from Faye to one of my tweets but I've kind of given up expecting one from Aaron Maybe it's me just being selfish though and expecting too much


Yes it is a difficult one. I think he wants to defend himself and hence reply to the scum bag. I think they'd go away quicker if he just blocked/ignored them but we all handle things differently I guess.

Re: Aaron & his need/willingness to engage with folks on twitter. The core of Aaron fan base loved that he wasn't the standard BB wannabe, he played BB in a way that was engaging, risky but never lost the notion that it was just a game show. They went for the ride with him, up & downs a plenty & they got him the win. Job done. He pulled in fans of BB rather than the folks that like to follow Z-listers. He has said plenty of times that he is very grateful for the support & he can't thank folks enough. What he doesn't appear to want to do is live his life 'off' fandom. He will know it's so superficial & is often more about the needs & wants of those fans than anything else. He's getting on with his life - a few tweets here & there - balance & perspective well in place.

A lot of what you say makes sense and I do like Aaron because he is someone I could relate to and as you say not the bog standard wannabe, but my only issue really is that he gives the time of day to the low life who send him nasty tweets but I guess he's one of those people who find it difficult to ignore these people and need to stand up for themselves. I have to admit though I do find it funny when him and Faye send back comical put downs to some of those people.

I wouldn't use the word "superficial" for Aaron's supporters though it's not going to go down well
