And some of the CGI was well dodgy!!

BUT overall, I did again enjoy the episode. A bit cliched, fairly predictable but not a bad second episode. Aside from the questionable editing, it was well paced with moments of tension. There was some character development, is developing its own humour and it looked darn good

Good 'tea time' fun to watch with the child
I actually thought the CGI bird was pretty good for TV. Beats the crap CGI on the SyFy channel.

I just find the dodgy styling so distracting. That's why I stopped watching Robin Hood and Merlin. The guys in the next week trailer for Sinbad wearing Jedward stage gear I think might be my turning off point.

To be fair, some of the CGI was good. Its just that where it was bad - like where the bird had Sinbad by the sholder and generally the bird flying - it was very, very bad

Fair enough the bird thingy flying wasn't so convincing. As soon as CGI hits daylight bang goes the suspension of disbelief.

I believe the bird was a mythical Roc as they cropped up in the tales of Sinbad.

In the dark it was a mythical Roc

In the light it was some of the worst CGI ever. Makes Harryhausen stop-motion look contempary..

(I love all things Ray Harryhausen but things move on - I expect better than 30 year old animation)

I had the sync problems as well especially the opening 5 minutes or so, overall the sound sync was a bit hit and miss, some parts OK others bad.

Didn't rate the second episode, think its just gonna be a monster of the week style series, I get bored with that kind of format.

When compared to Merlin exactly how does it fare?

Personally Merlin is superior, but being fair to Sinbad it is only 2 episodes in, so hopefully will improve......

Good second episode, this is shaping up to a rather fun series to watch.

Loved Sophie Okenedo as Razia, she's definitely a character I want to see more of as the show progresses and her scenes with Sinbad were pretty fun to watch.

There were certainly some dark moments in this episode, especially with Rina literally kicking the crap out of Anwar, who seemed a little too eager for the gang to stay together.

Not much development with Akbari and Taryn in this one and Sinbad's grandmother is rather creepy, isn't she?

Gunnar's reluctance to fight was interesting as well, 8/10.

I liked the second episode. I think it is already 10 times better than the first series of Merlin which by the way is very dull. The CGI is also better in Sinbad than in Merlin.

I missed the repeat of this for today, anyone know when it's repeated again or have a link to watch it online? Came across some, but they were the audio descriptive versions. Much appreciated.

Who is the target audience for this? It seemed to be aimed at 13 year old girls. Why is Sinbad about 18 years old? Totally unrealistic. Naveen Andrews would have made a far better Sinbad, a bit of a swashbuckler and adventurer. This Sinbad is as wet as last month's weather.

It's a family show like Doctor Who/Robin Hood/Merlin/Primeval, so it's aimed for everyone I guess.

While Robin Hood was extremely dodgy, Merlin has become brilliant, it's a proper fantasy show.

It is amazing how well that show has progressed and Sinbad will get there too if given the chance.

It's good so far.

Can see both points of view, I only hope it gets better. I nearly turned off the second episode.

3 episodes in and bored of this show. The styling is really bugging me now. Ok I know it's a show with magic but it is meant to be set in a certain period. Trilbys? Fishnet stockings? Jedward? Deck shoes straight from River Island? :-) And someone give the writers some Red Bull!

Goodbye Sunbad, goodbye thread. :-)

The styling was very noticable and very jarring this week & while the idea/plot was sound and a reasonably original take on it, the pacing seemed a bit stilted at times. No complaints with the acting & I'm warming to some characters - noticably the cook. BUT it is a little poor (of me - not just the show) that I can only remember Sinbad's name!!

Hmmm. Will continue to watch - we've had a couple of character establishing episodes now, lets have some major action!! And a story arc - please don't slip into 'monster of the week' land.

But really, cream deck shoes with a plastic/rubber sole, metal eyelets and proper laces........high heeled boots.......fascinators.......who knew medieval Persia had a TK Max

"Lets play a new Game"

Better 3rd episode this week, which I wasn't expecting to be, a Casino sounded silly, but it was good, helped by the Twins, and the 'Blind' Guy...

Cage fight good...

But the ending with the Doors, to much like The Crystal Maze, methinks.

I liked this episode, some good character moments for Sinbad, Anwar and Rina and Gunnar and some decent enough villains as well added into the mix.

The twins were both annoying and effective but I guess that was the point of them and it was amusing enough when they turned on each other.

The Cook never seems to leave that ship and Estralla needs to stop moaning as well.

Taryn and Akbari were pointless in this one. Did we really need them to be featured? 7/10.
