changing my Virgin mobile tariff

I want to change my Virgin mobile tariff so that i get more than the current 500 mg I presently get. Does anybody know how I can change my tariff? I'm on a contract and currently pay £10.99 a month. I'm almost out of mobile web allowance and it gets updated on 24th of the month - a long time to wait.

thanks

Most networks allow you to up your tarrif (with out adding time to your contract) just phone them up.

you really need to call them to find out your options but if you go over 500mb then I think according to this page its 1.46p per MB

That link is for mobile broadband.

For phone contracts, it's 50p per day for up to 25mb (per day) above allowance, and it goes up to £1.49 per day for anything above 25mb.

Pay Monthly Tariff.

Ah, anyway as suggested you really need to call them. I had a quick look at the site and didn't see any price for just bolting on extra data.

Thanks for that.

So I could just keep on using the mobile web after my allowance runs out but run up charges and not get suddenly cut off? If that's the case then that's fine for the moment - until I manage to get through to them. I tried ringing but gave up as I couldn't get through.

which number did you call them on, 789 ?

Try late afternoon, I seem to get through pretty quickly then.

I'll keep trying. Yes it was the 789 number that I was trying.

I was given 6 options and I pressed the number for the one I wanted and was told that I hadn't selected anything. This went on for a while then I gave up. I'll try again later.
