More was sounding so good too --its a great shame.

If Swindon gets Breeze its going to be too close to what Heart play.

I think Jack would have a better chance of success even if the Bristol version was relayed

Bristol would have to edit a lot of their voiceover inserts if this were the case as most of them slag Swindon off.... lol

Ugh, the last thing the country needs is another Jack FM.

Is Bristol or Andover providing More's news?

Something with a bit more kick like Pirate FM, Nova, Play, Skyrock . Anything except bland names like free and more radio.

Think it's safe to say that the wheels have well and truly fallen off More Radio in Swindon now...

So due to unpaid bills they have now been locked out their studio in Wootton Bassett since last Monday!! I'm told that they have now essentially written of that equipment and are not expecting to get it back!!

All the output is now being controlled directly by RCS in Guildford. Both Howard and Andy record a few links at home, email them to Guildford and then RCS put them in the playlist...

Sounds like a serious breach in their Ofcom licence terms to me?! Oh dear!!! Well done Richard Evans!!!

Although I assure you Mr Evans is about the worst 'managing director' any radio station could possibly have it has cost him quite a bit of money to put himself in that powerful position.

He sadly decided not to take advice from anyone who knew what they were doing as he always knew best, the best chance we had was to operate in a similar way to our 'sister station ' which seems to do fine and take care of it's staff.

If you want the opportunity to prove you can run a station then you need to put your money where your mouth is and take the risk.

Richard took the risk with his Dads money but had no skills to back it up.

It's always been like that. Saturday's have a party show from 6pm, and Sunday's used to have the Big Top 40 show. Not too sure if they still do the Top 40.

Celador's Bristol MD will be in charge of More which may suggest that Swindon will eventually become part of the West/SW cluster of Breeze stations, although it could be Jack'ed.

Sold to Celador as I announced 6 weeks ago!

I have been out of the loop a little but the understanding was that Total Star in Cheltenham is also going through and the plan is to supply a 'local' breakfast show across Swindon and Cheltenham whilst networking the rest.

I assume the small amount of local programming would be broadcast from swindon as long as the mess made by the 'Honorable' Richard Evans has been cleared up.
Going to be paying your outstanding bills Rich?

I suppose in one sense, Celador are a very safe pair of hands - something Brunel/TotalStar/More hasn't had since 2008. In another, it should have never got to this stage. I hope this ends the run of bad luck on 107.7.

Cheltenham & Swindon are in different "approved local areas" so they will need to apply to Ofcom for clearance.

Even if they are sharing they will need to do a further 3 hours "local" outside of breakfast - probably drive time.

Not all the time, if they can give a good case to ofcom then they may not have to. UTV with Signal 107 in the midlands has managed to get permission to 100% network there new additions.

Total Star Cheltenham has dramatically reduced the number of live presenters these days so I had a feeling a sale might be on the cards. I can see this happening and Ofcom giving special permission for these 2 small scale stations to merge.

I heard the Big Top 40 back on More this afternoon. Not sure if this is the first week its back but it was missing for the troubled weeks and is still not on the echedule.

I assume its back as things are a bit more stable.

Howard and Andy are sounding good an upbeat so fingers crossed they remain whatever else happens
