Windows Phone 7 Questions?

Are there any Windows Phone 7 users who could answer the following few questions?

Do you need to enter credit card details to register or download just free apps from the Marketplace?

Is Internet Explorer on WP7 any good?

Is the OS easy to get used to?

They are all easy to get used to.
Anyone claiming otherwise is just doing fanboy banter.

Agree with the above. IE on mobile was purposely made hopeless(can't imagine anyone choosing to make it that way) but it has improved.

Thank you, The main thing was the credit card issue because I'd been told you needed to enter details to register and I don't have (or want) a credit card.

I ask because I believe you do need to do this with iPhones?

I think I may give WP7 a go as I like the look of the Tiles and App integration

I've been using android for a couple of years and fancy a change. when it's time for a new phone
I've already tried BlackBerry and couldn't get on with it and iPhones don't really interest me

I'm not a fan of i Phones myself

Just don't like the feel of them in the hand.

Good luck in finding the right phone

I love WP7, the OS is fluid and very easy to get used to, if you use social networks the people hub is excellent. The live tiles on news, weather etc are handy to glean info off too.

You don't have to enter credit card details with an iPhone. If you set up an iTunes account to download apps with a free app to start with, you'll get an option to not put a payment card in. Plus you can just buy iTunes cards in pretty much any shop if you do want to buy something.

I use a Visa debit card with my account, Zune accepted it fine.

What is nice about WP7 apps that you get a test version of all paid apps which is often enough. IE is excellent, very fast. OS is easy to use. You get an overview of what's going on with live tiles and symbols on a locked screen. And as others said you do not need a credit card to register with Zune and download apps.
