I see he has got people in from Extras. That woman who finds him funny was the woman on one of the episodes of Extras where Maggie is wanting to get to the sandwiches and she tells her to go see Andy Millman on the set remember?

I think Gervais is experimenting with hovering between comedy and serious drama. I think I like it.

That's the guy who Ricky and Steve loved and put him in Extras as the superfan and then in Cemetary Junction as the cafe owner.
Is it?! That's well spotted, he looks completely different!

Then why watch the rest of it? Turn it off and let the rest of us enjoy it.

Gervais isn't DeNiro is he, looks like a bloke pulling a face I'm afraid.

Liking it so far, but I'm getting this grim feeling from it very uncomfortable.

So, my assumption is that Derek doesn't work there.

So far they are doing an excellent job of putting across how excruciatingly boring working in an old persons home must be.

Beautiful music by Ludovico Einaudi. But then it was when they used it for 'This Is England' as well!

Hmmm I'm not sure about it so far? I've only laughed once and feel maybe there are some cheap gags being pulled? Sitting in custard, falling in a pond......not reallly original comedy.

I'm not sure I'm quite 'getting' it just yet, but I love Karl in anything, and "I'm drownding" did just make me giggle

You can never quite trust what direction Gervais goes in.

Karl is stealing every scene he is in.

Incredible that people are unable to actually sit and watch a whole programme without the need to "twitter" on about it while its on.
Why not wait until its finished then comment on it and you won't miss anything then?

If I watch something on tv I watch it .
I can be parted from my PC for hours on end without pain

This is just a half hour one-off?

Bit odd, just seems like a concept. A couple of wry smiles so far.

I'm a tad confused as to whether he works there or is an 'in-patient'

I'd go with In-patient.

Yes, notice how the nursing assistant was following him around outside. Didn't look like they were simply walking around together.
