Humax recorder

I have recently purchased the Humax 500GB Freesat recorder from Argos.
First impressions:
Setup was straightforward. Not keen on the manual due to the way it's laid out, e.g. couldn't find reference to archiving to USB devices. Worked out by trial and error and copied to a 80GB laptop drive in caddy. Still have to run second cable to record/watch two channels.

Sometimes find switching the Techwood 22" TV to HDMI shows 'No Signal' message. Resolved this by plugging in a scart lead

Can someone tell me what the Red G against a recording in the media list signifies ?

I give this product 9.75 out of 10

You will need to do a factory reset after you install the second cable - I will mention that single cable mode assumes that the loop from LNB1 out to LNB2 is connected.

The red G is for Guidance notes (pressing the i button twice should show you details).

I find setting the HDR to always output 1080i gives the best result with no HDMI handshaking problems. Changing VFORMAT on the remote should get the TV's attention.

The manual is not very good at all. Good job the box is.

Strange, If I press 'I' button twice for any recording, I get the the program information.

I'll have to check this tomorrow as up on the PC at moment, again many thanks.
