If I start up my Humax from standby, then press "Guide"on the remote and select "All channels" in order to open up the EPG, the words "Receiving programme information" appear in the top right hand corner of the TV screen.

If I then try to navigate through the channel listings, the whole process sometimes freezes and I can do nothing more with the remote control - not even switch off the Humax. The only way to get out of it is to use the switch at the back of the Humax.

If I wait till the "Receiving programme information" notification disappears, everything works fine.

Is there any way to switch this programme information download to manual or to programme it rather than for it to do it automatically?

Instead of pressing guide press the schedule button then the red one. This is faster than guide, you don't lose the background video. I never use the guide button.

There's a Beta software fix available but the above should resolve it until the update is transmitted OTA.

I'm sure once the OTA has been announced it will generate a lot of posts on this forum, so just keep checking back.

And if this (keep checking) seems too laborious, then install it yourself manually now via download from Humax website (version 1.00.20) then you won't need to wait for the OTA.

I think the new OTA update is coming shortly. On the schedule on the DTG site the current OTA software has been given an end date of 10/04/2012, looks like this has changed today, was down as 'open' before.

Now saying 11/04/2012.
