well I was thinking about it because every time I eat the meat all I hear in my head is "moo don't eat me" and it makes me sad and then I think of pour cows but I suppose they'll be ok in my tummy

On Easter Sunday I am having people over so I am making an Easter dinner buffet! lol. Gammon joint, cheesy potato - leek and garlic bake, croquettes, carrots, baby corn, tenderstem broccolli, stuffing, chicken drumsticks (for those who dont like gammon), home made yorkies and gravy to go with the chicken! Swithering over the decision to or not to provide some savoury rice and some pineapple for the gammon. I cant wait!

Was going to have roast lamb on Sunday, but it was so expensive I bought a stuffed pork joint for £5.

Salmon on Good Friday and chicken curry on Saturday.

Friday, a KFC supercharger meal or possibly a bacon double cheeseburger from BK, oh I might even have fish and chips. Friday's always takeaway night for me.
Sunday, roast dinner with chicken, roasties, sausages and yorkshires.

I was going to buy lamb but you are right - for the size I would need for the amount of people its just too expensive - thats why I settled for gammon.

Hopefully we will have fish and chips tomorrow, if the local chippy is open, don't think it was last year. Sunday, we are having roast lamb with all the trimmings, the remaining lamb will make a lovely shepherds pie for Monday

Nothing special tonight or Sunday but have some good friends who we don't see very often coming to dinner tomorrow. I'm doing twice baked smoked salmon souffles with a garlic & herb cream sauce, king prawn pathia with pilau rice and peshwari naan, and chocolate fondants with vanilla icecream. I already have the souffles, curry sauce, rice, naans and fondants in the freezer so it shouldn't be too bad.

gerr60 -

there's a mexican/american restaurant not too far from me that does breakfast, the mexican breakfast is scrambled eggs with crumbled corn tortillas, bits of crispy chopped bacon, onions, green peppers, and a dash of sour cream. it's served with toast and brown sauce or hot sauce, and a pot of coffee.

Tonight fish fingers, potato wedges and peas, tomorrow micro ready meal as got a lot of stuff on so thats quick and easy when I come in.

Sunday have some fresh chicken in the freezer a novelty as managed to get 2 really nice fillets at a great price from the butcher haven't quite decided what to do with it yet probably will decide on that on Sunday but will probably be having it with rice and have veg to go with it although seen a few nice ideas for chicken here the last few days.

Also planning on making carrot soup over the weekend and vaguely planning baked potato for Monday I think. Only thing I haven't thought about is dessert might make whippy jelly not an official description but thats what I know it as or just grab a quick something from the supermarket.

Didn't bother with the takeaway in the end. Had some chargrilled chicken and chips for lunch and just had a lovely couple of bowls of cheesy penne pasta for dinner.
