Has anyone been able to find cheap joints at Morrisons after their half price tv advert or are we being conned.

I work at Morrisons and have seen several joints of meat come through the checkouts today. Beef and Pork I think its been, large joints for around £5.

My morrisons joints are £8 upwards

Tesco have half price meat at the moment too also the salmon is half price and very good I am told.

At work today I took note of what was coming through the checkout and how much and pork was just under £6 for a largeish joint. Beef a little more but still under £7.

The salmon is also really cheap at the moment.

Co-op has got £5 beef roasting joints at the moment but when you go in the shop they don't have any.

I believe they and Morrisons and Tescos have a small number on offer which go quickly and they just want to get you in the shop.

One thing I could never accuse Morrisons of is advertising an offer and not having enough in stock.

They always have plenty of whats on offer in stock, very rarely do I ever notice an offer ending with none left in the store.

sainsbury have half price lamp/beef/pork, as well

Many times i have seen offers on their website but couldnt find them in the shop, checked joints again yesterday, nothing under £8

I bought a lamb joint for £6 this weekend, so no con.

They had loads in ours. Maybe the store you are going to is having supply issues, or they have just been incredibly popular and sold out? Have you tried asking the staff?

And no it isn't a con to get you through the door. They reduce prices to get you in the shop in the hopes that when you are there you will also buy other items but the offers ARE genuine.
