Most shown film on tv?

What film is the most shown on tv ever?

I'm going for a jimmy bond film or a carry on film.

just a guess but surely Stallones Daylight has got to be up there near the top,

that film was on nearly every day at one stage!

Shallow Hal seems to have been on Sky Movies every week for 10 years.

I'd have to go with any James Bond movie. They seem to have been running continuously on ITV for the last 20 years.

In the US the frontrunner would have to be JAWS. I'm not exaggerating when I say that JAWS is on at least once a week on any number of channels. It's not unusual for the film to be airing multiple times on different TV networks in the same week.

On terrestrial I'd say that Grease is one of the most serious contenders - it's hard to fathom now that there was actually a time where there'd be a couple of years between its screenings, as since the revival/stage show renewed its popularity it's never been off, with screenings sometimes weeks apart.

At one stage Logan's Run seemed to be shown regularly on a range of different channels.

If the actors (which included Jenny Agutter and Peter Ustinov) were on repeat fees they will have done very well.

The Shawshank Redemption and Bridget Jones seem to be a favourite of ITV2.
Film4 also seem to always have 27 Dresses and He's Just Not That Into You on

Great Escape,Wizard of OZ,

But maybe that's just because they are a Christmas Staples.

If we take out Sky Movies and Film 4 There's always the British Sunday Classics

Above us the Waves (WWII B&W drama)

James Bond. ITV usually run a James Bond season about 10 times a year. Then there's the constant airing of "True Lies" on ITV2.
