Oh ffs, are you going to start a thread about every bloody female artist you know, asking "have they peaked?", " Didi they peak too early?", "Are they ever going to bloody peak?"? ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHH

I don't care about how successful she is, I only care about whether she produces music I want to listen to.

Adele is very very very different to the commercial bubblegum pop artists (Gaga, Perry etc etc)... in that she is critically acclaimed.

Although she sells tens of millions of records (19 is at 6.5 million, 21 is at 20 million) her material is measured by critical success. She will be nominated for Grammy Awards for the next 30 years. I think shes a certainty for future hall of fame inductions. To write Hometown Glory at 16 (in 10 minutes) is pretty darn impressive.

So she wont actually peak... she will just continue churning out one critically acclaimed song after another.

I think it is best if he ignore his/her's threads. He/she is doing it to annoy people and we are replying back saying how we are annoyed by their threads which then gives them pleasure and a kick by knowing it is working.

Shes critically acclaimed, sells tens of millions of records, and is very different to the commercial bubblegum pop artists... i wasnt asking to agree/disagree on factual stuff. As for the opinion (hall of famer) she is a certainty in my opinion, and she will continue to churn out critically acclaimed songs.

21 is among the highest selling albums for a female ever.. so in commercial terms its unlikely she (or 99% female artists) will surpass that. She will however continue to sell millions

21 scored 76 according to metacritic and BTW scored 71, so gaga is quite acclaimed by critics as well. I understand what you mean though, adele is more of an artist who will be remembered purely for the quality of her music whereas gaga might end up being remembered for wearing meat instead of for her music.

No chance will any of her albums sell anywhere near as much as 21. The next one will sell less than half of 21.

I think people on forums see success only in terms of commercial sales and money if the artist is good enough they will continue to tour and release to a certain level of acclaim regardless of whether its 10 million or 500,000 copies sold e.g

Kate Bush
David Bowie
The rolling tones
Paul Mccartney

and to an extent

Britney Spears
Christina Aguilera
Avril Lavigne

All able still to get a top ten and acclaim even having as you say peaked its not the peaking thats the problem ist making a career afterward with music that people will still want to hear

I would love it if she actually totally screwed with us and came out with a new album full of dance anthems and heaps of tracks produced by Redone and David Guetta.

If she gets her first single right who knows what could happen. Even If it sells half of what 21 sells it will still seem a flop despite still being probably the biggest seller of that year.

I think her songs longevity will likely depend on her continued relevance in the top 40.

Adele is the true saviour of REAL music and is authentic and credible and has no gimmicks unlike those booby sluts Gaga and Katy Perry.

Her music is about true human emotions/experiences such as her break up etc! Her tracks are under 130 beats per minutes and have guitar-based productions and are therefour not disposable electropop or dance trash but proper music like what sophistimicated adults such as erm myself listen to.

Da sands of time will not be kind to the dance whores but Adele who is a REAL WOMAN WITH CURVES™ and insacurities etc will be remembered forever because her music actually means something okay. Even doe she doesn't write all of her songs she is a true musical artist because her music is slow and not pop.

When any1 else sells well it's because da public are stupid and have bad taste and sales don't mean anything but wen it's Queen Adele it's because she is amazing, okay? I did the maths and that's what it said, so you best Adeal with it™.
