The F2 is NOT a freesat PVR and also you are using it on continental channels so this should have been posted in this other forum http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=143.

Only platform specific boxes (freesat, Sky etc) in general will automatically adjust clocks to British Summer Time, some generic satellite boxes will adjust to the time signals from the channels they are receiving but as yours is not receiving UK channels I would suspect that would not be to your requirement. If you actually read the manual page GB43 (here if you don't have a copy http://www.humaxdigital.com/global/p...02%20200gb.pdf) you will find the instructions for altering the time setting manually.

I suggest you ask the admin to change the title to reflect that otherwise very few people will read it. Use the alert button.

Sorry I sold my foxsat because I found non freesat mode was too clunky and crippled for non-freesat mode and purchased a Targa PVR and now have full 7 day EPG on a lot of channels on 19.2.

Seen this one before, the problem appears to be in Freesat mode the epg provides the time, in non-freesat it comes from now/next from the channel.

Using Raydons customised firmware and the associated channel editor to add the non-freesat channels to freesat mode may well sort the issue.

I don't remember how far back that article was - it may well be before the new web interface - makes all very much simpler.

It is well out out date - now much simpler.
1. Flash the firmware
2. http using your browser to the HDR's ip address
3. Click on the button to install the full web interface.
4. Click on the 'Package management icon to select what else to automatically install.

It is that easy (but for a first timer I would wait a couple of days for a 1.00.20 version to be released)

Even I'm going to take the plunge after 1.00.20 is released

The new web remote control emulation is too hard to resist .

For possibly obvious reasons I feel much more relaxed after reading that !
I'm going to have a go also.

But I bet that I come up with dafter questions than Graham.

I'm still working on the conversion programme to a Spectrum from my worn out abacus !

Also suffering from an ISP who seems to to have connected me, from exchange to house, with second hand wet string. The other day I had 85 kbps.
Has anyone got iplayer to work with that?

Firstly make a note of the IP Address your Foxsat uses

Menu/System/Network. Mines 192.168.1.104

Download the package from the link here

http://www.avforums.com/forums/16751712-post137.html

This will create a .rar archive wherever your browser is set to save files to.

Create a folder somewhere I called mine

RaydonHDR

double click on the rar and copy the files to the above folder.

This will give you 3 files one of which is a text file with full instructions for applying the update. The file xxx.hdf is the one you need to upload the firmware to the hdr (includes a full version of 1.00.20 so no need to update first)

Briefly the procedure is the same as doing any firmware upgrade by USB.

Ie

Power up the TV and select the appropriate AV input

Boot the box with the front sby button with the usb stick connected. Hold the button till the update screen appears on the TV

One tip for reliability I find it best to reformat a usb stick and then copy the upgrade .hdf file so it's the only file on the stick.

After removing the stick reboot the hdr then open your web browser and enter the hdrs IP address. You should now have a webpage with the option to install the full web interface. Create a shortcut to this location for future use.

After the install completes log off and reboot the hdr.

Press guide and wait until the epg is fully populated (you get the current channel video and audio back) and a further 5 minutes. I had a small snag here the waiting for programme info didn't go. Initiating a Freesat-tune exiting and not saving the contents and pressing guide again fixed it.

Use your shortcut to open the web interface.

I recommend the first thing you do before installing the various options is print out the release notes and read them They give a good idea what the package can do

Try the remote control option it's very cool

Good luck.

That's interesting (mine's 1080i as well). Does that mean you don't see the usual boot screen ?

You will not be able to extract the files on a windows system without an application.

I used Extract Now.

I see the boot screen normally for a sec, but have not see the flash screen since I set it to 1080i - must be something not happening with handshaking on my TV.

That's interesting, mine is set to 1080i and I have no problem seeing the flash screen.
I will point out, additionally, that I don't even switch the TV to the Foxsat input, my Panasonic TV detects the active HDMI signal and switches to it automatically when the Humax boots.
It does drop back to normal TV for a second or 2 between the boot and flash screen though.

Panasonic TV's generally have a non standard (Non CEC) system that selects the port based on activity on hdmi1.

This can be a mixed blessing as the port detects the Foxsat booting around 15 mins before an AR recording is due (same as happens with a scart connected Foxsat)
