We have two hairdressers in the family so in theory I should find it really easy to keep my hair in trim.

In reality I have a sister who barely cuts anything off as SHE prefers MY hair longer and my son's partner who once she starts just keeps snipping, bless her. So I either look like a sheep in need of a good shearing or else I look as if I've been shorn to within an inch of my life!!

I'm also peering out from behind an overgrown fringe (which incidentally I have tackled recently, she'll moan when she sees it) and hair down to my shoulders which spends most of the time tied up. When she comes down next week I shall keep her chained until she's cut at least three inches off the back!!

Morning all.

Nice to see you back ucra.

Hope everything is getting easier for you Lena and Lindy. House hunting is EXHAUSTING! We had just put an offer in for a house when my husband's company moved. I was working then too - in London so needed to be near a train station. There weren't many houses around at the time but it took us forever to find something - and boy did we have to compromise. Hope you both find something you really like and which is close to shops, transport etc.

I'm like augusta - hate rural - but we are in semi-rural in a commuting village so it's the worst of both worlds. However, the house and the garden are nice and we have good neighbours - and we can easily get out of here by taxi or car. We can walk to a petrol station if we run out of necessities and our doctors' surgery do house calls and our pharmacy - and supermarket deliver so it isn't all bad I guess.

Out a bit later and yet another hospital appt tomorrow. Hope to be back later.

Oh augusta, chin up. You poor thing I can't think of anything worse than being in the middle of anywhere with quite a few of my inlaws.

I do have to ask the question....why on earth did they buy something that needs work if they dislike DIY?

That's one thing OH and I do agree on - our next place will be ready to walk into or else we'll live in rented until the builders are done.

OH has gone into grumpy mode now as he has to go back to 'the hell hole' tomorrow. He's soooo happy in his work bless him.

Ohhh, couriers just delivered two boxes. Budgie mansion has arrived!!! If only buying a house for us was that easy, rofl.

OH not totally lost his sense of humour. I was just saying I can't move them into it as their new 'furniture' hasn't arrived yet, to which he replied "Yes I can see it now they'll be clinging to the bars muttering 'not so much as an orange box to perch on."

Off to the tip and Tesco's. Back later.
