I've just been to the Stanley Spencer gallery in Cookham. Went with a friend from Oxford and had a nice lunch. Then she decided to look for a new dress in one of the boutiques. After seeing that a knitted jumper cost £485 we walked out - who spends this kind of money on a jumper? I joked it must have been made of spider silk. Good old M&S for me.

Hubby reviewing a PhD thesis and I'm about to do yet more work on the awful manuscript so must adieu. My break is almost over and I haven't seen if there is anything else of interest on the threads.

Guess no news from John. Saw there was a TV program about Skippy. Knowing how John hates Skippy I didn't bother to record it.

When the girls were little

I watched the John/Kenzie programme the other day. 2 things struck me:

1. How thin John really was then, doing his weight-training. No wonder Jose called him "the Bone".

2. He said he lost a stone in weight in the BB house. Bet not many BB HMs can say that!

Bringing this up-to-date though, had to smile at Sam Pepper's recent tweet about steroids having worked for John!

I agree, I was really quite worried for him, insofar as you can be for someone you've never met. He looks much happier and healthier on the VT of him entering the house.....

Pleased that Sammy Pepper thinks he's better now......wonder how he knows??

How about A1 they are due to make a big announcement fingers crossed its a tour.

I don't think he was talking about John James- the photo had a cartoon of Johnny Bravo beside a really beefy guy. I assumed Sammy Pepper was comparing the guy to Johnny Bravo on steroids.
