Hi everyone, hope you're all well, it's another blustery and wet day down here too.

Is it just me but the last three posts on page 28 are repeated on this page?

Still all quiet from the other side of the world. I see Jonno told the 'life' eggs to put up or shut up (wtte) and it seems they've got nothing. No surprise there then.

Moving house is so scary isn’t it? You have to do what you feel is right for you and your family.

We accepted an offer on our house a week ago and the day after my nerves replaced my excitement, felt sick, had stomach cramps, couldn‘t eat anything. I had just started to chill out again, went to pick some boxes up to start packing bits and pieces away when the for sale sign was replaced by a sold sign I keep looking out of the window at it feels a bit surreal and I must admit my nerves have started to kick in again.

Have to agree with you Khyra about moving being scary. The company that moved us didn't look in my o/h's garage to see my 1500 books and furniture from my London flat so we wound up having to pack everything ourselves - NEVER NEVER AGAIN!

I had to go to a conference the day after we moved in so poor hubby had to unpack and put everything away. I came back from the conference and everything was done!

Don't worry, things will work out - hope you love your new house. They say moving house is the most stressful thing you can do but be sure to list everything you put in the box and number the boxes and say which room - makes life easier. I kept a ring binder with the number of boxes, the box number and contents in the box. That way I didn't forget what was in each box. We also took plant cuttings and some of the plants - which we told the buyer about. Take a deep breath and don't worry!

Afternoon all.

No news I see.

Just bought a new bed and bedding for our guest room - hope it will all be delivered in time for my cousin's visit at the end of May. Thankfully they will take our old beds too.

Lucky me got lunch out of the day too. Just beaten my o/h at scrabble and feel great.

Off to do some tidying up - off to Chenies Manor tomorrow with my friend next door. We take each other out for the day for our birthdays instead of presents. Much nicer really.

Well done Khyra Where are you off to? Have you found a property? (I have a feeling I should already know this, so forgive me if I've forgotten ). I certainly know that horrible sick feeling - but you seem to be managing it better than me

What great advice - nyannie you should be president of something or somewhere I did something similar last time we moved, didn't have a ring binder but did label the boxes by contents and by room.

TX Babs has posted all JJJ Finland's clips in one place on the JJJAT (post 752). Looked at one or two, haven't seen any for ages and was surprised at just how much I still appreciate John I knew I did, but not how much......

I don't know whether I can bear to look at any more.....

No muggins, my birthday is in June. Just went to the local pub that has been revamped - OK but not great! O/H has been complaining about the gristle from his burger since we got home! Talk about picky eaters. . .

Morning all.

How is everyone? Had a lovely day yesterday which was marred by the arrival of the telephone bill. O/H kept ranting - how can anyone talk for 20 minutes on the phone etc etc. He doesn't seem to understand that as my friends live in London, Oxfordshire, Essex and Sussex it is the only way to keep in touch.

Needless to say I am now trying to persuade him to go for a Waitrose deal where you pay a charge for internet and for an extra £5 a month you get line rental and unlimited national calls. Wish me luck!

It is my friend's birthday on the 29 April so we are celebrating her birthday today. Must get on as I have to do housework and put some washing on before we go. Hope my foot holds up. I plan to sit in the cafe and have some tea if it gets really bad.

Good luck with persuading hubby to join the phone deal. We have a similar one with BT. Unlimited calls (redial just before you reach the hour, and yes I'm ashamed to admit my sister and I have redialed each other TWICE in the same conversation) and 40% of calls to mobiles. Our broadband's with Sky but we're thinking of swapping that to BT as well as there are some good deals to be had at the moment.

My phone/broadband bill is around the £23 a month mark; it covers the line rental, broadband and evening/weekend calls, plus about 10 phone calls a month (friends and family are free). However, I rarely use the phone and certainly not during the day, but I still think it's a good deal as line rental with BT is £14.60, making my broadband and calls just around £10.

I was lucky, I got a good deal when I joined Toucan, which became the same deal with Pipex who are now Talk Talk I effectively have a good deal and no contract, as none has ever been signed with Pipex or Talk Talk lol ... that makes them idiots

Evening all

News re moving - we're not going to! Well, not yet anyway .

After a very stressful couple of months, we have decided that now is not the right time, and have taken our house off the market. We are just not ready to downsize properly yet - that will come, but possibly in a couple of years' time. We are both pleased with the decision, but exhausted by the process.

Think I'll take a migraleve and have a lie down
