I also take back what I said about Aaron calling Paddy dad not being emotional.

Very, very emotional.

ETA: Joel had a scene with Ste?

Ugh.
Ste won the battle of wits though, don't worry

Wasn't Emma acting on Twitter recently as if she didn't know Bruglas was a thing? Bit disingenuous I think...
Definitely! They played up to it so much. And she says she reads forums - although I guess it's mainly on tumblr.

I feel terribly out of step, because I loved tonight's
I didn't mind it. There were lots of funny moments and things set up that can pay off later.

I don't know really, I mean my expectations were pretty low as it was and I love Stug, they're making the whole thing great right now. I'm sort of sad that there's a sting in the tail with it now, but then I like Brendan's involvement. Brendan's had some great stuff this week. I think I'm just generally a bit meh because I just feel what I'd really like is at some unreachable point in the distance and it's April already and it's going to be a lifetime away. And I don't like the whole Joel thing, still feels hockey to me.

And my fall back couple has been replaced by a couple that are like two pretty bits of cardboard rubbing together to try and start a fire.
Aww. I forgot about flipping Lynsey. They're so boring together. I'm not even just saying that.

I do kind of know what you mean. It's hard to be really enthused when it's taking so long for anything meaningful to happen. But I think Ready's right, it can never go as low as it did in Jan, and they're trying to crawl back from that.

I still agree with that AAS blog, people's patience can only be pushed so far. I wish they would get a rocket under their arse, but the whole show is a bit slow at the moment.

Aw, I always liked their relationship.

Yes, Joel was once again being cruel to him, saying he didn't know how Brendan had given him the catering job.

Yeah, same I don't know why, because I adore PJ/Doug and Emmett/Brendan.
Same.

EFFING JOEL. Jesus Christ. I loathe him and I haven't even seen it.

Yeah I like them individually or with Ste, just never together.

ETA: Oh good, Ayla. Good boy, Ste.

She might have added in that scene for them. Or she's just being coy. Good for them I say, can't say they don't get anything

Is everyone riding the hormone train or something?

I'm not unhappy about things but I am a bit, well I don't actually know what the emotion is I'm feeling, a bit let down because it seems like we still have forever to wait for any real progress.

Oh I don't know, I probably need some biscuits.
I did enjoy tonight's episode and everything especially the scene in chez chez, and I'm not particularly disappointed that we didn't get much Stendan interaction because I wasn't expecting much really, however, I'm the same as the Bib because now it feels like we're not going to get more good stuff for ages and ages and what's worse, it feels like we won't get nice shippy things for a very very long time.

And I've never been a patient person, me.

And we've only just got them back, don't want them to go again.

I liked that article, I thought it made some good points. Whoever wrote it obviously loves Brendan's character, but thinks that things need to progress to the next step.

I'm starting to think that it might be good if I don't expect any scenes with them, and have the mindset that they'll never get back together. Because at least that way, I avoid being disappointed!

You will not like him at all in this episode

When do I ever like him?

He only has to breathe and I want him dead.

Honestly there is one scene that made me clench my fists, I really wanted to smack him one.

Yes, it's just the same old problem really. I think they're trying to play a double game with Brendan. They're trying to keep him the same, because they're scared of him changing, or aren't confident enough to write it, but they want him in some kind of connection with Ste as well, but it can never go anywhwere until he changes, and he can't change ... round and round. And sometimes you just have to have the guts to say, yep, we're doing this now. Like PM having the guts to make Brendan kill Danny, which was immense, and something you can't go back on.

So I wish they would just DO something, instead of trying to play everyone.

I agree, c&s.

I've felt like that all week. They can't please everyone and the sooner they accept that, the sooner they can start doing something.

Honestly there is one scene that made me clench my fists, I really wanted to smack him one.
Is it bad that I proper want Brendan to hit him?

I don't condone violence in any way but just once. Really hard in the face.

ETA: In fact no I don't care if it's bad. I want him to smack Joel.

Then he can change.

With Joel i think they could easily make him a bit more of a sympathetic character. Maybe show that he's a bit lost and needs a father figure. Cause everything he's doing is to impress Brendan and get his approval but they're making him quite unlikeable at the moment.

Maybe she hadn't seen it, or it didn't really register with her as it was a nightmare and not an actual storyline, so she didn't remember it when the existence of Bruglas fans was revealed to her.

Yes, non-Stendan fans have had their way for eight months, and now that Brendan and Ste are back and Brendan's clearly in love with him, non-Stendan fans are STILL getting nice things. I don't have a problem with everyone getting something they can enjoy.

But I hope they push on with things now, because there's so much that needs to be sorted before our boys can get together again. I'm dreading more black holes.

I'm surprised everyone's feeling a bit 'meh'. I really enjoyed tonights episode... the Chez Chez scene in particular, obviously. A bit down that the greatness is coming to an end, but I'm sure it won't be too long before it's revived.

The boy's name only has to be mentioned for you to get angry

Yes, it's just the same old problem really. I think they're trying to play a double game with Brendan. Totally agree. And the thing is, it's not making anyone that satisfied. The non Stendan fans are a bit annoyed that Ste's still in his life, and that he still wants him. The Stendan fans are frustrated that things don't seem to move forward for long, before he takes two steps back (sorry to generalize, but this is the impression I got.) So they may as well just decide what direction he should go in. Obviously I wouldn't be happy if he forgot about Ste entirely, but this limbo thing isn't really working. At least the episodes this week have seen things progress - although not really in terms of Brendan's character, more in terms of the plot.

The Danny thing payed off in such a huge way. One of the best decisions they made, because it really added so much, and let the audience know how Brendan felt about Ste, without him even having to say anything.

I think I feel partly 'meh' cos you'll have a week or so of a storyline and then no aftermath after, like tomorrow you'd think there would be scenes with Stug getting the business started perhaps scenes with Amy etc but there probably won't be and it'll just jump to them decorating it next week. I mean there might be but you just never know with Hollyoaks anymore.

I dunno where this is all heading.. Either Change the violent aspect of his and Ste's relationship.. or keep them apart for goodness sakes. Brendan has shown his softer side many times with various people that are close to him, so It's not Impossible. I say Stop trying to Please everyone, and start telling the story the way you want emma.
