Boxes Stacked On Top Of Each Other
At the moment I've got my xbox on top of my sky box on top of my bluray player.
I'm worried about heat and ventilation, do you think these from eBay would help? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ht_2637wt_1136 |

Q. Are they in a cabinet or out in the open?

Being that heat rises...move the xbox else where.

A small shelf unit would be best.
At the moment heat is going into the gadget above, a shelf would tend to dissipate it out the back avoiding boxes above. If cheapness is essential, some large pieces of stiff card between each box would help. Could be painted black maybe. And maybe add to the height of each device with those rubber stick-ons from Ebay.Stuck to existing feet, let's more cool air in the base if that's where the intake vents are of course. The key thing is for the shelf between each device to be solid so hot air does not go up directly into the box above. |

I find old cassette tape boxes laid flat are good for this....
one at each corner, and transparant too so you dont see them so much!! |

I have placed my satellite receivers side by side with a gap between them on a computer desk, My Sky HD box sits on top of a first generation Sky + box that is not used or powered up. I noticed that the Sky HD boxes get hot on their sides through the holes.
