Yes, I think so. Really started taking of in 2011 I noticed.
You also forgot Jay Sean, La Roux, Taio Cruz and Lauren Bennett. There were actually a few weeks last year where there were more British artists near the top in the US chart than in the UK chart. |

Well, I think Mark E. Smith just about summed them up...
"We were playing a festival in Dublin the other week. There was this other group, like, warming up in the next sort of chalet, and they were terrible. I said, 'Shut them ***** up!' And they were still warming up, so I threw a bottle at them. The bands said, 'That's the Sons of Mumford' or something. 'They're number five in charts!' I just thought they were a load of retarded Irish folk singers." |

Some of them might not be good, but they're doing well in America
I feel some sympathy for the former colonies. But they've shipped so much of their crap over here, they probably deserve a British dumping. |

Natalie Kills have has flopped everywhere her music has been released. She has hardly made an impact full stop, let alone America
I'm surprised people haven't added Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield or Dido to the list. They've had a considerable amount of success in US |

There's also bands who are under the "pop" radar like The Dunwells, who've just had a really successful US tour and recorded in Nashville etc, getting good reviews and good sales of their album.

I can't see Olly Murs, JLS or Alexandra ever getting anywhere near the US either. |

I heard a Ludacris remix of Changed the Way You Kiss Me, so maybe that'll be what they promote there.
I think Olly Murs could do well in the US. Heart Skips a Beat recently got #1 in Germany, which proves he can get to #1 without the country knowing him from a popular TV show. |

So you have to be the right class to make a certain style of music?
All though they're absolute shit Keane Make no attempt to class themselves down, even going as far as having a port addiction, Mumfords have this totally false image of mandolins and horse carts, which coupled with their absolute shiteness makes them a bunch of *****, pardon my French. |

I remember him tweeting from Germany where he was doing interviews and press etc, so it wasn't like he didn't have any exposure and it was solely on the song, though I do appreciate your point that he didn't have the nationwide hype of a television show in his background. |
