I will be annoyed, I prefer buying the hard copy of an album than downloading it.

Like many, I do love my iPod, but I also like having the physical copy. I can't explain why, it's just.. nice.

I've thousand of them. Mine won't be gone before I am. I've plenty of vinyl too. Can't see me ever paying money for a download ... just one of those many things I'm reluctant to pay for, like car parking.

The ironic thing is Vinyl records will probably end up outliving CD's because of the collectibility, the larger artwork, the nostalgia factor and those who have a preference for analogue sound.

well they're not completely instinct i dont think they wont be compeletely because there might be some people who still buy cds and some people that download the album on itunes or any digital website. well, i do both buy the cd depending on who the artist is or just go ahead and just download the single instead if i really like it.

I'll miss them a lot, if they're "gone for ever"

However, things have changed now. I used to be a HUGE fan of cd's, to the extent that I would buy at least 3-4 cd's per month 5 years ago. But now, the albums market is dull. Most acts have accepted their fait as singles artists, so their albums sound messy and incohesive. Besides, half of the excitement of buying an album is gone now because most cd's I want to buy are not sent to my country, so I order them from Amazon. Buying a cd is just not cool enough without having to search through the shelves and carry the cd's back home

I still buy some albums, but mostly to either support the artist or to have all the songs in CD quality...

I'll be sad but that's the way music is heading so we'll just have to adapt to downloads.

Will be interesting to see how shops like HMV adapt to this in the coming years

CDs will be around for a very long time yet so for that reason I'm not concerned in the slightest about what I would do.

I buy alot of albums from charity shops and car boots stuff from the 80's & 90's I can't find so they will always be around.

I'll never pay for files - so if they stop CDs they'll lose my cash and many others I suspect.
