making your own snacks

I love Jordans bars and cereal bars like it, usually as a snack dipped in yoghurt or when I cant be bothered to have proper lunch or tea. But they're quite expensive, so I've started making my own snacks.
the other day I put a load of cornflakes in a bowl and mixed in peanut butter and a bit of syrup, separated into fairy cake papers and put in the fridge. They were perfect as a quick snack for the next few days. I tried making a peanut butter flapjack just with some rolled oats, peanut butter and syrup, but I think you need quite a buy of syrup because mine just crumbled apart.
does anyone else try to make their own snacks, preferably healthyish ones without loads of syrup or sugar.

I'm not much of a baker but have made honey & oatmeal cookies. They were chewier than usual cookies but i'm not sure if that was just because I made/cooked them wrong

Another (unhealthy) snack i've made a few times are beer nuts.
Get a big bag of natural unsalted peanuts with the skins on. Boil them in a simple syrup then trasnfer to a tray, cover in sea salt and roast.
