I'd happily tuck into cat or dog. In fact if I went somewhere like Korea where these are eaten I'd make a point of trying it. Who are we to say that what we eat in our culture is correct and what others eat isn't?
Exactly. Cannibalism excepted

We were in France on a college trip and in a very small restaurant. The only two appetising dishes were Steak & Frites or Chicken & Frites.

Half of us chose steak and nearly all of us asked for well done. They said they don't do it well done. You can have medium rare or rare. So we all went for medium.

It was a real eye opener. It was the best steak i've ever had.

There was also a small joke that it was horse steak and not beef. I never did find out about that.

It is an animal. Humans eat animals, like pigs, cows, and whatnot. An animal is an animal, if it can be eaten, and it tastes nice, then there is no problem with that.
...providing it has had a kind life and a considerate death.

Too many animals have really crap lives and then bad deaths. We shouldn't be eating meat that is produced like that - but buy any cheap meat and you probably are eating meat produced in bad circumstances.

Horsemeat? Can be bought at most markets and many specialist butchers... here in France.
